You can always rely on the thermals for fast and hard lo-fi punk rock. Their newest album is more of the same, good for just rocking out while cleaning up the house.

Album of the year #3: Desperate Ground by The Thermals

A solid top to bottom punk pop/rock album with each song telling a great ongoing story in three minutes or less. They've been around for quite some time but it all came together with this album.

They run a hilarious twitter, put out a fun video game and have been touring most of the year.  Their album is up on Spotify and YouTube and is worth a listen.
