This Oat and Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie is a delicious dessert to share with friends and family. The chocolate chips add a rich and indulgent touch to this soft and chewy cookie with a slight crunch from the oats.
Ingredients: 1 cup rolled oats. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup chocolate chips. Vanilla ice cream optional, for serving.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. There are rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix them together with a whisk. Melt the butter and mix it with the white sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy. Mix the egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture by beating it in well. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and mix them in until they are just combined. The chocolate chips should be carefully mixed in. In a 10-inch cast-iron skillet, press the cookie dough the same way all over. Put the cookie in an oven that has already been heated up and bake it for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Take the pan out of the oven and let it cool down for a while. You can add vanilla ice cream to the skillet cookie while it's still warm if you want to. Have fun with your tasty Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie!
