Double milestone day on the trainer AND New Kit Day! 😍😍😍 Rode my first metric century 100km on a trainer, which is much harder than 100km on the road. It was a beautiful day in Ireland on @fulgazapp ... I can't wait to travel for real again! Then I finally broke the 1,000watt power threshold on a sprint! These legs were pumping! Post-bacon, pre-turkey Merry Christmas ride on @fulgazapp ... it looks a little warmer in South Africa than here🤣🤣🤣 FulGaz4 is so much nicer than any other riding app. This ride put me over 10,000km total distance so far. After about 17,000km on the Roubaix, it was time to replace some drivetrain parts. When I bought the @wahoofitnessofficial Kickr, I bought a new @shimanoroad 105 11-28 cassette. Then, I replaced the chain with a new @kmcchain X-10 Superlight Gold chain. I ran the X-10 Gold before so we'll see how the SL lasts. It's lighter, that's for sure. But I found I was skipping under power. Tonight, I had to replace both front chainrings. I wanted to try oval, but the lead time is a little long. The store had a set in stock of round @absoluteblack.cc Premium chainrings. Not only do they look hella cool, but they're noticeably stiffer, shift better and are quieter. The whole drivetrain is damn near silent. It's kind of eerie. Spinning on the hamster wheel! Took a ride out in Banff on @fulgazapp last night and Australia tonight (no pics ... was doing my FTP Test) FulGaz is absolutely stunning. 4K videos of rides, all with smart resistance to my @wahoofitnessofficial trainer. Hills are hard going up and the maps with RRF (Real Road Feel) get harder if terrain changes ... just like real life. Crazy! I think this will be my training app for the year, but I do have two others to test. It sure is fun ... especially with the right @spotifycanada Playlist! Back on the hamster wheel! Just setup my new @wahoofitnessofficial Kickr V5. I forgot how much I sweat... even a light spin like tonight for 10km required a mop 🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅 But damn it felt good. The new Kickr is smoother and more stable than the Kickr Core I had. Riding the hamster wheel has been good for me .. down 25 pounds since the start of February. Finally crossed the 200lb mark ... haven't seen that since last summer! Averaging 40km and 750m of climbing on every ride ... 200km per week minimum. That ski was great, but I need to hit my weekly goal on the trainer... just over 100km for the week. Finished off with a ride on the Innsbruck @uci_cycling race course on @gozwift ... 25km and 500m of climbing! Ouch! Huge thanks to @the.satanic.mechanic for fixing up my @wahoofitnessofficial Kickr Core trainer. It's quiet now and doesn't appear to be dropping connections like it was. Using my @tethertools gear for my devices ... a phone grip and XL clamp to keep my phone front and centre ... tablet mount on a @vanguardworld VEO 2 tripod. I could watch PVR'd shows on @bell FibeTV and follow along on @gozwift Companion on the bottom! Gotta love split screen on @samsungcanada Tab A😍😍 A fan and towel round out the pain cave. Nice power up after a hard lap around New York City virtual world!
