HE LOOKS LIKE A TEENAGER. he has an awkward, uncomfortable, posture, and sloped shoulders, and a wary smile, like he’s anxious about something. but what could he be anxious about? leah squints at him, her lips pursed in a curious gesture that comes naturally to the body she’s wearing. they both look like teenagers, like ordinary humans. but they’re not. and she knows it, and she knows that he does too. if she can sense him, then she knows he can sense her. though he’s not like anything she’s met before, she knows him -- they’re on the same side, after all.
“hey kid,” she says in a friendly tone. “you’re the anti-christ, right?” she sticks her hand out for him to shake, kind of awestruck (which isn’t something that happens to her often). “i’m leah, but you probably know me as the whore of babylon.” she flashes him a quick smile. “it’s awesome to meet you!”
