My Warlock OC - she’s been with me since Destiny 1 Year 1, and I’ve taken her through every raid, expansion (still have to play the latest one), friendships and heartbreaks along the way. She’s my oldest Guardian, and I love finally bringing her to life in my developing style, with her closest light Ghost! No matter how the game goes, Destiny and my guardian will always have a special place within me.

I posted about Speedy after I found out we were going back to the Dreadnaught this season and was pleasantly surprised at how supportive people were being. Some people even told their own stories of their friends they missed.

I wish he could see this.

Whatever long distance friends you know or have, do me a solid and message them. Check in on them. Tell them you love them whenever you can. Sometimes, you don’t know what it is they might be living through. Had I known Speedy was sick and dealing with a neuromuscular condition, I would have been checking in on him so much more frantically the week he suddenly went quiet. It eats me alive every day.

After the fight with the witness, Cayde gave us a final goodbye but I didn’t see Cayde in my head. I saw Speedy. And I cried so hard for so long as @guardian-headcanons sat with me and listened. He knew what I was going to see and think and listened to me almost sob myself sick because I never got to say goodbye to my friend. It’s been 7 years since he passed and I am still mourning and grieving him.
