Today's Featured Decks are a part of this series designed by Victor Newman. Victor went into detail about the conception of the series, "I was reading Neil Gaiman's book, American Gods and was inspired. I couldn't stop thinking, what would skate kids worship and what would the deity look like? I am a huge Miyazaki fan and love how he incorporates myth into his work. I did some research and found some mythical figures that I thought would be great to illustrate as skate kids. Raijin: The god of lightning and thunder. Kitsune: Fox possessing magical abilities that increase with their age and wisdom. Tengu: The harbinger of war. Hachiman: divine protector of Japan. Mahakala: God of time, also death." You may have heard that So Gnar and Wahoo's Fish Taco were hosting a Go Skateboarding Day Skate Crew Video Edit Battle in Denver this past Saturday. Well, the winning crew featured some www.BoardPusher.com team riders and their friends in this sick edit by Drew Hastings Media. Congrats to Levi, Mitch, Owen, Phil, and Drew.

We have our first 2 time THI3D THURSDAY Skateboard Design Contest winner. UK based artist, Rachael Smart, who also won the Space Invaders contest, designed the winning Street Art deck, "Bear Bones". She describes the deck as being "right for skating itself. You are giving your all, showing everything you got - as well as breaking some bones to do what you love. The artwork is just done with uni pens and then coloured on Photoshop." Rachael will be receiving this deck along with $100 and "Bear Bones" is now up at www.BoardPusher.com/THIRDTHURSDAY with a limited run of 10 decks available to you all.
