One thing I’ve noticed from TRA, that I haven’t particularly noticed from radfems, is their need to instigate and draw attention.

I feel like a lot of TRA is rage bait in a way, like that man in a dress who goes to restaurants and gets mad at the servers for “misgendering” him. Or trans identified females who are extremely classically feminine who call themselves men/non-binary. They’re begging to be fought with and to be a victim.

This girl who I used to work at a gas station with identified as a man and wore eyeliner and used the women’s restroom. I remember she said she was in a “homosexual” relationship and she showed me a picture of her and an obese older (23-28) man. She looked at me waiting for me to say something and I was just like “cool” and she seemed disappointed.

She worked with her mom btw who knew of the relationship (I believe she was 18), I hope she broke up w him. It’s sad how she didn’t see she WAS a victim, but that of grooming, not “transphobia” from others.

“Riot Grrrl” members that are male will never actually be riot grrrl, we don’t give a fuck if you wear your hair long and wear dresses, do you, but you ain’t a woman and you will never understand female rage. TRA's want to preach about "destroy biology" but at the end of the day all you are doing is ignoring the facts. Our bodies are born following an intricate genetic code and that system is on the binary when reguarding sex (leave intersex people out of this, they want none of your bullshit). Obviously, there are people who have a whole host of issues with their bodies, but it doesn't come from your genes and how they're structured, it comes from the social construct of what you're told you must be because of what genitals you were born with. Destruction of Biology is death, destruction of socially constructed gender is freedom.

Detractors on the Right claims that they are the only ones opposed to identity politics, but time and time again, we have seen that they are simply promoting another reactionary flavor. On the Left, many people instead push for a diversity of identities to be represented within capitalism. For those that want the destruction of all forms of domination, we must ask if there is an alternative. But what would that look like, and is it possible to push towards something that conceivably we cannot have a blueprint for? What does this mean for our day to day lives as well as how we struggle, organize, and build collective power?

In this episode, we caught up with several people involved in the Filler Collective, to talk about the concept of Gender Nihilism. In short, we ask if it is possible to understand gender and overcome it in a way that goes beyond liberal notions of inclusion within the dominant system. Is a genderless world possible, and what does fighting for one mean for those living in one where gender norms and roles define all aspects of our lives?

The Logical Process: 1. Gender, by the radical feminist definition, is the act of assigning certain characteristics to the two biological sexes society perceives 2. Gender is bad and we should not enforce it because it hurts people. We should work to destroy it. Therefore, we should not enforce the assignment of certain characteristics to the perceived biological sexes. We should work to destroy these assignments. So: 1. We assign pronouns, language and accepted use of gendered spaces spaces based on the perceived biological sex of someone 2. We should not enforce the assignment of anything based on perceived biological sex. In fact, we should work to destroy that assignment. So, we should not assign pronouns, language or use of spaces based on perceived biological sex of someone, and we should work to destroy this practice. So why, then, if terfs are insistent on destroying gender, do they insist on assigning people pronouns, gendered language and accepted spaces based on biological sex? Why do they insist on calling me the pronouns associated with my assigned sex, when that is how gender is enforced? Surely, making these assignments entirely arbitrary by ignoring, subverting or inverting them, does much more to destroy gender than reinforcing their usage? Terfs are NOT about destroying gender. They are about destroying trans people. I am not against destroying gender- in fact, if anything, I'm of the opinion that every facet of what we now call gender should be chosen by the individual, from pronouns and language to presentation, should be the individual's choice, as this renders gender an arbitrary thing and essentially meaningless, if it can be anything for anyone. If gender is meaningless it cannot oppress anyone. I am also of the opinion that people's bodies belong to themselves and they can do anything they wish to them. Terfs seek to enforce the aspects of gender that they are comfortable with and stop trans people from achieving whatever they desire in their lives that does not align with the aspects of gender terfs favour. That is the fundamental difference, really, and the main reason I don't fucking like terfs. They can't even get their movement's goals right, and when examined, it reveals their true intent, masquerading as radical feminism: extermination of transgender people and the very concept of being transgender, by forcing conformity to the aspects of gender they determine acceptable.
