they may not have hands, but they stick their whole face in the millet! doves and other ground feeding birds love millet. pigeons and doves (same bird, but...oh you know) use it to make a cream called crop milk which they feed their chicks. the chicks have special soft beaks so they don’t hurt their parents while drinking from their crop.
