“Turning the universe upside down”
The enormous amount of stars that there are in the sky is a realization most of people have before reaching the age of ten. They seem absolutely stunning and Jack Cheng gives us the opportunity to meet one that resides on planet Earth in his first young adult novel "See you in the cosmos".
Eleven year olds are mostly worrying about skateboards and videogames but that isn´t Alex Petrovski´s case. He is worried though, worried about finding enough sounds and facts that will be able to show to other life-forms what life on this planet is really like. Using an IPod sprayed gold, he makes sure it´s done through a series of audio recordings.
However, Alex is determined to find an answer to his biggest concern ever: how can he be brave. By building a rocket on his own hands, he sets on a road trip with his dog Carl Seagen, named after his one true hero the well-known astronomer. But his destination keeps changing and the people he meets on the road will help him in ways he cannot even imagine.

In less than three hundred and fifty pages, Cheng manages to tell a wonderful and moving quest, about self discovery and inspiration. It will definitely keep you asking for more. From the very beginning up to the last few words, characters develop in astonishing senses.
