Sketch pages at did during the beginning of development! Some of these have outdated designs (You can see Tania's design change in the middle lol) and some stuff is not even canon anymore, but I want to pick some and remake them!! I am also hoping on making more pages like these in the future.
It's been a while since I've made an original post, so let me talk about what I'm working on right this moment.
The biggest thing I have on my plate is the Gloomhaven TTRPG. I'm working with Isaac Cephalofair to create the best translation of the board game system to a ttrpg system we can, while at the same time writing up an outline. We already have a lot of the systems work done, so really it's getting into high gear to hire authors and get the rest of the book moving. I'm excited about this one.
Next up is At the Gates which is my own personal game using Onyx Path's internal Storypath Ultra system. This is a high fantasy game deeply inspired by jrpgs like Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, the Mana series, etc. Unlike Fabula Ultima (another great game you should check out!) this game isn't completely focused on the combat, but I will say a lot of the way you build and level a character for combat is inspired by that. Also 4e DnD, because that game really knew what it was on about as far as combat strategy goes.
I've got a project I'm under strict NDA to not talk about. That makes it very hard to hype it here, but I'm certain folks who are fans of Onyx Path's brand will be excited for. I can't wait for folks to see what we've been finding regarding this project.
Finally, Exalted. As the Inhouse developer for Exalted, I get to set the pace for new books, and boy howdy are we about to move at lightning speed. We're gonna get some stretch goals out to you faster than you can blink.

Development with my concepts...
Thinking of the “colours” idea, i make some design with it, using masking take to cover liner parts and experiment with watercolours to try and create a pattern of some sort where i could then, using some mark making tecniques, print on top with diferent materials.
Unfortunatly when pealling the tape it also rip parts of the paper but i decided to go with it and use the colour parts that i found more interesting.
I experimented with diferent materials to uso to print but these are the marks i likes best.
I was trying to create the idea of folding pipes, something use more mecanical, the repetition of its shapes, so i decided to use a piece of cardboard and cut out the shapes i was looking for to print:

I then experimented with doing some montage with bits of paper, cardboard and plastic, i was using for the mark making, as i thought they looked interesting if i put them together:
Finally i had a go on photoshop with these monoprints to see how they would work with my linocut card suits designs, to possibly get some ideas of how i will finalize them, see it i could use this:
I think they look interesting. I also notice how unconscietly i end up going to a more darker imagery sight, even though i started with colours on this development. I will take onward the more darker concept as it obviously something i do and enjoying doing without even thinking to much of it. Find it more appealing and interesting.
The last 3 images, i feel they actually worked quite well. I like the textures and the contrasts, the “ruffness” that it gave to the design.
