"Ah, you're finally awake! You had us all worried there for a minute! Found you just passed out, stuck out there in that awful weather! I have no idea what caused you to be wandering around in that storm in your condition, but it sure is lucky we found you! What's that? You don't remember? Oh dear, do you remember anything that went on out there? Well, that is a shame, but you're safe now! You take all the time you need to rest and get yourself back together! Pardon? Oh! Silly me, I didn't even introduce myself! I'm Aratia, and this is my wife, Devla! She was the one who saw you out there, and she- something the matter? The smell? Ah, you must be getting a whiff of our latest batch of treats! I must say, you sure are lucky to find yourself here! To find a safe haven in a confectionary of all places! The two of us just bought this place and can't wait to get it up and running! It's been our dream since, well, forever! Now it may seem a little strange, what with the location and all. Yeah, it is kind of out of the way, sitting pretty much in the middle of the woods. Not much else around, but we do sit between two popular towns! The traffic ought to be great once we start advertising! Oh, don't mind the setup we got so far. I know it looks a little beat up and run down, but that is how we could afford such a place! It is just a fixer upper! With a couple months, we will have this place turned into a candy house! Oh, just imagine! With all the little treats in neat little trays! The jars full of sweets, arranged like a rainbow! It will be beautiful! Just wait til the children see this place! They will be coming in droves! Oh, how we love children..."

"Say, speaking of treats, would you like to sample some? We got some really tasty stuff here, I am sure it will lift your spirits and get you out of that funk! I got these candied apples I just made today! Look at them, aren't they adorable? I even put little faces on them, though this batch did get a little drippy. I think it's the pot we have right now, not the greatest for candy making. Honestly, it kind of looks like a cauldron, but it was affordable! Once business starts flowing, we can get a better one, and these will come out amazingly! The green coloring was my idea, really makes them pop! And if we get green apples, I will make the coating red so that they pair up! Isn't that genius? Here, have one! The candy coating is wonderful! It's to die for! Oh, not a fan of apples? Well, that is no bother. I bet you like cookies! Devla, bring them a tray of your filled gingerbreads! You will love these, they are my favorite! I don't know how she does it, but they come out perfect every time! See? They are shaped like little people! Adorable! Ooo, and show them your strawberry filling! See how gooey that is? Oh, it just melts in your mouth! Not hungry? I guess sweets may be a bit much right when you wake up. How about dinner then? Honestly, I am starved! Thankfully, we just got the oven heated up nice and toasty! All we got to do is get the meat stuffed and ready! Mmmmmmmm, makes me drool just thinking of it! Nice, plump meat, especially the fresh kind! The fresher the better, we always say! Oh, I just realized you're in your soggy clothes still! Goodness, you'll catch a cold in those! Why don't you take those off, and we can get you into something warmer. Got to get you all ready for dinner, you know..."

"Wait, slow down! It's pouring out there! You should stay and get some rest! Someone in your condition shouldn't be running around out there in this weather! Sweetie, the door's locked, you can't get out from there! Oh, no need to get loud, we just like to lock it as a precaution! Now just calm down and have something to eat! You're thin as a twig! Hey, that isn't what windows are for, get down from there! This is just ridiculous! Was it the apples, oh dear, you aren't allergic to them, are you? Devla was saying that was a thing, but I thought she was just fooling! You can have something else! When we were on our honeymoon, we went to a place that made sugar skulls! How about one of those? Will you please stop squirming, you're going to hurt yourself or- OOF! Me! Don't go, we would love to have you for dinner! It would be nice! Wait! Please! Come back! Just another excuse to draw up some dryads! Just realized October is pretty much over and I haven't posted all the stuff I prepped. Oh well, guess you guys will have to suffer more monsters on the off-season! Who would have thought?
