Statue's face 'too friendly for Satan'

Residents of the Spanish city of Segovia say the sculpture is "exalting evil" by being so jolly.

“...But residents say that the devil - who is smiling and taking a selfie with a smartphone - looks too friendly.”

Sansa was not used to spending so much time walking around without rest, but she tolerated it for her friend’s sake. She had no choice but to, since the enthusiasm she had for showing the city where she had been studying for the last year was infectiously contagious.

This statue of a golden devil appears first time on “Overload “ painting from 2003 and reapears continuously on 3 parts of  the “Overload”- series, exept  “Overload 3 -doomsday or hell on earth” from 2008, where this mystic symbol has been replaced by sinister and cruel construction ; the so called “pyramid of suffering”

I can,t say much about the intention behind such symbolic. Maybe the golden devil is refered to my person, I,m not sure but this returning symbol is one of the hardest things to explain from the vacabular of my painting language. I can explain, what the 3 deamons are supposed to be, but not this enigmatic statue.  There is no reason to intepretate it in religious contest, because I,m not religious person at all. Let this object be a faszinating creation of my stoned subconscios mind!

I. Love. Game. Swag. I hope to one day have a bookshelf full of different gaming statues and action figures. So my eyes really light up when I see items like this Diablo 3 statue. My wallet on the other hand runs in terror. Priced at $350, you will really need to work the Diablo 3 auction houses if you plan on buying this any time soon.
