Devilish Designs - A Serial Ripoff Artist
Have you spotted artists that have had their work ripped off and copied? We want to know about it! We provide links to the original artists shop and comparison photos to show what to look for in a ripoff. Message us. E-mail: [email protected] Our current ripoff artist in the spotlight calls themselves "Devilish Designs" - a polymer clay artist from the United Kingdom that has copied (we count) about EIGHT other artists so far. We have included examples in a few past posts. But there is one artist in particular that they have copied to such an extent that it's completely and utterly obvious. We have counted almost TWENTY THREE designs that have been ripped off from a Canadian polymer clay artist, Monster Kookies. You can see some of the comparisons below and above this post. We have therefore dubbed Devilish Designs a "Serial Ripoff Artist" - a title reserved for only the most repetitive ripoff cases. Congratulations! We contacted Monster Kookies, and this is what they had to say about it: "Yes, unfortunately they have been copying me for well over a year. Almost two. I cannot do too much about it without an extremely expensive legal mess, so I am relying on the kind words of others to pass the word on about my shop.
All I ask is to please refrain from sending the copycat angry letters about your disapproval. Instead, please just pass the word on (through word of mouth, blogs, Facebook, etc) about the original artist - Monster Kookies. The more people who know about the originals, the least likely people are to fall victim to purchasing cheap imitations. So feel free to tell folks about Monster Kookies." Well. We're not that nice.
