A quick sketch with a gel pen and colored pencils. Akira is next. My crush on Devilman has been going on for years, and now I can draw them and write something.

The mini-story “Chain Reaction” was written around the same time as “Unique Loot.”
While “Loot” draws more heavily on Crybaby with elements from other adaptations, this story intentionally blends elements with a focus on the older OVAs and the manga ❤️
It started out as a stream of consciousness, which eventually crystallized into a concrete idea thanks to my wonderful beta reader Reehani (her feedback helped me understand what was working, what needed tweaking, and where). I polished it up by finishing the text. And then beta Kot' did an amazing job proofreading it all ❤️
Basically, I wrote and edited all my texts this year in this format, and I really love the process and the result 🥰 Kot' is an excellent, thoughtful editor, but when you have someone who knows the canon (Reehani), who’s ready to share their impressions and point out the confusing, illogical, sagging, or awkward parts, the creative process gets noticeably easier 🔥
I’m writing this and realizing just how much I’ve missed fanfiction writing 🥲 Of course, if the fic is long, it can get a real pain in the ass. But.
