Martha laughed, immediately wrapping her arms around Buggy and pressing a kiss to his nose. "Awwww are you not getting enough of my attention?" She teased. "Alright you win, you have me now."

After his whining, Buggy instantly smiled as his demands were appeased. He snuggled up to his friend and sighed, pleased. "FINALLY. What took you so long?"

Careful paws lead forward before backpedling, ears like satellites aimed forward as heads bob, inspecting the sleeping big cat. Sure you should let sleeping felines lie, but hyenas were stubborn and tenacious creatures, and she was sleeping on their boarder.

Are you in a relationship with the Calypso's Revenge captain, Martha? You two seem a lot closer than just casual friends.

Relaxing was a strong word. It was more like not dying of heatstroke by lying near the bank of a river. What was he suppoesd to be?

"Just 'cause a guy's layin' on his side doesn't mean he's tryin' to relax. It's hot today." Probably would have been eased by at least taking his suikan off, but he'd be damned if he was going to remove any of the layers of silk he wore unless he had to. "Keh, you call it tension. I call it being prepared."

If you just let your guard down, even while you were alone, someone would take advantage of it. Someone would find their way out of nowhere, and go for the throat. It was a dog eat dog world.

"Who the hell're you, and why've you been watchin' me? I knew I didn't recognize a smell nearby, I figured it was a traveling merchant."

[ SLIP ]: sender slips on something and trips, bringing the receiver down with them in their descent. (for ed -- eating it during play time is bound to happen eventually XDDD)

A mud puddle was a great place to cool off. And a great place to slip if playing too hard. Ed had been contentedly watching Matha spin and twirl round and round, at least until the spinning had gotten out of control and suddenly she was spinning and crashing into him. The hyena gives a sort of rrrrrelp! before his head is submerged under the mud with their tumbling, leading his laughter to take a pause as he's coughing and snorting out mud.

Shes getting revenge for all the times Ed has sat on her by laying all her weight on him. Take that Ed! Draped across his middle with her front paws on his head.

Martha leaned over, resting her head on her friend to look up at him, tapping her hands on her legs. "Hey Buggy? Iiiii have a question. Understood if you say no--but you think youd wanna come with me on a spell outing? It /does/ involve water....so you gotta trust me, and again understand if you dont wanna come, but thought I'd ask?"

Ugh she didnt typically ramble so much. But it was a big ask of trust and she was nervous.

"Hoh~? A spell outing?" He looked to her, noting her fidgeting, and cocked his brow in intrigue. "What? Are you gonna drown me?" He snorted. "Like my flashy self would be afraid of water!!"

“Would it help if I lay down with you?”

Simba pricked up his ears once he heard Martha speak, his tone remaining disappointed. "Sure, if you want to." It wouldn't change anything on his end though since he'd been grounded by Sarabi after she found out that he went to the Elephant Graveyard. Five whole sunrises he would have to stay at Pride Rock unless he was accompanied by away by a guardian in an extreme emergency, and the chances of that happening were slim to none. The cub remained in his spot letting the other lay wherever she wanted while he remained with his head on his paws, ears lowered as a light depression began to settle in. "You can pick your spot."
