( Closed starter @devilsroast - Sofia )
Looking for a place to sit, Daniel glanced around Traceless café. It was a little busier than it had been some of the times he’d stopped in lately, which was a relief - he’d hate for the place to go out of business so soon after he’d found it. Of course, the café being relatively crowded also meant that, well, there were a lot of people he caught sight of as he glanced about for an unoccupied space.
His quest for available seating was suddenly brought to a halt however when he caught sight of one person in particular, who he’d definitely met before - Sofia. They’d only spoken once, and since then he’d managed to convince himself that she hated him. She’d spent much of the conversation trying to convince him to stop coming to this café in favor of another after all, and had departed said conversation with what was rather obviously an excuse. At least, he was fairly certain Sofia wasn’t just someone who needed to wash her hands so frequently as to have that interrupt conversations she was genuinely interested in having.
The trouble was, now that he’d noticed her he wasn’t sure what to do. Normally when he saw someone he knew he did the polite thing and greeted them, but was that really the polite thing if the person in question didn’t enjoy his company? Or maybe he really was overthinking things and she didn’t dislike him after all, in which case it would be completely awful of him to ignore her. But then - what if she really did dislike him? Caught in an endless loop of consideration, he wound up standing there, looking in her direction for longer than he’d like - possibly even a moment longer than was polite.
