Something came to my mind that probably isn't the case bc we have 0 evidence for it but hey your brain does what it does so take this as fanfic:

What if Dandy kissed the the top of Astro's hand and called him My Darling to psych tf out of Bendy. Like, to get under his skin and see how he might react. (Depending on how Bendy might've taken the years apart). Just for that bc I think he is perfectly happy with Astro and isn't like...using him.

On a second thought, what if Bendy just stood there and not said anything bc he doesn't yearn for Dandy (Multitude of reasons, but I am thinking on the lines of 'dating' so imagine he is with Mugman or Cuphead, or even Dyle.)

So now you just have this odd silence of 'Fuck I didn't think this far' from Dandy and Bendy just wanting to pass tf out bc the Adrenaline high is crashing down now. Or he's just standing there, not caring as much as he does in cannon.

Obviously this is not cannon but I just wanted to share the thought. lmao.
