Unfazed by the small BBQ disaster, the gardener was just doing her work, which included the rose plant Mara had given to Devin way back on their first date. Meanwhile Devin still was hungry but decided to go for a safer way of cooking food. Let’s hope that goes well, because Mara isn’t close by to rescue help Devin this time. The computer desk got moved in the new building, while the kitchen still is in the old building...

Back home in Oasis Springs it was dark and cloudy, but it didn’t rain! This time Devin wanted to plant his new snapdragon right away. Devin came to regret his own plant however when he got interrupted by a swarm of bees! Not again! The bees must have seem him for an intruder, or perhaps they were angry at Devin because he had been away all afternoon! After this brief and painful interruption Devin quickly watered the newly planted snapdragon and went inside the house.

Kyla suggested to sit outside and enjoy the warm and sunny autumn afternoon. And thus the two Sims sat at a table with a view on the street and the neighborhood and chatted to get to know each other a bit. They talked about their work and their hobbies. Kyla wasn’t employed at the moment as she still was figuring out what she wanted to do for a living. She was living from her savings at the moment and spent her days practicing writing and cooking. Yup cooking was something that Devin and Kyla had in common and talking about cooking styles and recipes felt easy for both Sims. It was not just their shared interests in cooking that made Devin and Kyla get along quite well together, they had a nice chemistry and felt comfortable with the other. It felt only natural for both Kyla and Devin to exchange their numbers to keep in touch (about cooking and perhaps also other things?). As the afternoon turned into evening, Devin knew it was time to end the date. He had a great time with Kyla, but he had to open the restaurant this evening. Still he wanted to end this date on a high note and he approached Kyla and held her hands while he said he had a great time with her.

Inside the restaurant there were more guests standing around and waiting for the host to guide them to a table. However there was no host to be seen! Had the host he had hired yesterday not turned up? Well that was something Devin would have to solve later, first he had to hire a replacement right now! Devin apologized to the waiting guests and told them that the host would arrive shortly. Devin then quickly made a phone call to hire an immediate replacement. The new host would come over right away and would be at the restaurant in a few minutes. While he was waiting on the host, Devin talked to the guests about the restaurant and it’s menu. Upon arrival the new host didn’t need much instruction from Devin, she introduced herself as Izumi Nakayama and asked where her workstation was and then she went to work right away. Is seems like she had done this before! Devin left her to her work and went to a quiet spot in the restaurant to call his first host Amy Ishida and tell her that she was fired because she hadn’t showed up today!
