Visiting Nick (possibly the cutest being on earth) || Mere & Nick
The halls of the hospital were long and unpleasant to walk down in the uncomfortable flip-flops Meredith had on. On top of that, the nearest elevator was done for some reason so she had to make the long trek up the stairs. Luckily Nick was on the second floor, so Meredith didn't have to do too much stair climbing (although it was still more than she'd like to). She shook her head disbelievingly, thinking about all the shit that had gone down since she'd been away. She still couldn't believe she was visiting Nick in the hospital and not his home or a favorite hang out spot.
Meredith reached the top of the stairs, feet aching. She removed the flip-flops and was planning on walking to room 2385 barefoot when a nurse scowled at her. Mere flashed the nurse a sheepish smile and put her shoes back on. The nurse nodded and disappeared into another room. Meredith stuck her tongue out in the direction of the older woman before slipping her shoes back off and dashing down the hall.
Finally she reached Nick's room, full out panting. She pushed the hair out of her face and caught her breath before peeking her head in the doorway. "Knock knock," she said in a sing-song voice, a smile stretching across her face.
