2020 MerMay (Devis & Coryn)

DAY 6 — Signs

Male naiads are rare, and set apart from the people of the sea. They are used as guards ou warriors, and closer to the surface, in order to protect the harmony and the peace for mermen and mermaids. Thus, a relationship between a naiad and a mermaid is strictly forbidden. But it doesn't afraid our little duet: as often as possible, whenever Devis, a yound naiad, is watching over a certain place, Coryn is there to keep him company. They are not especially talking, nor they are demonstrating affection. But if you're attentive ... You may see some signs.

DAY 7 — Message

Of course, seeing each other is complicated. Even talking is barely possible. But Devis is rather a clever naiad: they can still talk if they're using the right way. He decided to give a message to some fish which are used to swim around the area where Coryn is living. Small and innocent fish would never attract attention: thus, their exchanges began.

DAY 8 — Hiding place

When exchanging messages felt too boring, they decided to try to see each other, but in secret. They had to find a place where would come to see them. People of the sea are quite afraid of human, thus, a good hiding place would be a shipwreck. They planned it. And they could finally see and touch each other, sharing a warm embrace.

DAY 9 — Nap

Once they became confident in their relationship, they decided to find other spots to spend time together. Sometimes, even taking a short nap in a place close to the surface was enough for them. They didn't need much, they just wanted to keep their relationship at a good pace and even more a good state, not caring about what people may say about it.

DAY 10 — Secret

They were more than happy with their relationship. They were lovers, and they managed to find their way to spend time together. And one day, when Coryn came to Devis, to whisper something in his ear, they turned out to be even happier than they would have imagined!

2021 Faebruary

PELARGONIUM — BOREDOM

"Sometimes, there is no much to do: fooling around, laughing with the others, hiding in the flowers ... This is so ... boring. Why wouldn't it be possible for a fairy to do something more exciting, more ... daring? Something that would really make them feel alive, and not only a small and fragil magical creature."

Devis is a very old character and I think I don't have to introduce him anymore by this time. He is the typical "i-know-how-to-wear-the-pokerface" character, and he feels bored very quickly if something doesn't seem to be worth his interest. He is also very lazy, but it doesn't make him more difficult when it comes to find something which is 'exciting": playing some games with strategy may sometimes be enough for him.

CROCUS — ELATION

"When the ray of light of the morning sun are barely visible, that is the best time for fairies to wake up and to enjoy their daily life. Morning dew has not vanished already, and yet, here they are already moving, floating, flying, dancing ... Is that the feeling of a new dawn on a beautiful day? There is so much to do today, they may as well start their day with joy and elation!"

Do I really have to introduce you Neoko? I don't think so, by now! I really really enjoy drawing her in a typical classical dancing pose. I think it is the best way I can represent the feeling of elation: having a light body moving without any problem, with delicacy. And thus, Neoko is probably the most fitting for that!

THISTLE FLOWER — VENDETTA

"The problem with feelings like anger, hatred, jealousy is that they quickly turn into a strong and negative envy, which pollutes every inch of kindness in a fairy. Suddenly, the urge for destruction and revenge is stronger than anything else. It is not always like a fairy tale: sometimes, being a villain is so ... satisfying."

Misery is my little devil. Turned into a fairy, she would mess around all the time. She is sort of psychotic, sort of crazy, sort of villainous, sort ... Yet, she is a huge antagonist. One of the best thing she is good at is destruction and murder. A charming hobby for a young lady, isn't?

FRITILLARY — ADMIRATION

"People tend to explain that a fairy's birth happens at dawn, at the perfect moment when dew and flower create the perfect cradle. But in reality, some fairies are born under the cover of the night. From the top of their flower, they watch the whole sky, hoping that one day, they can fly as high as the stars."

Ivan is the twin brother of Katya, and he shares many common traits with his sister. But there is one thing that he is unique for, it is his dedication and admiration towards his father. Ivan really aspires to become like him: proud, confident, trustworthy, strong ... But for now, he is still a bit too shy for that.

2020 Huevember

HERMES — DREAM

"The dream of mortals has always been to come and conquer Olympus and the Heavens, and like Icarus, to fly away until their wings burn. If there is indeed a God who knew how to understand and conquer this feeling, it is Hermes: quicker than anyone else when it comes to crossing the sky on either side, the teasing God doesn't waste his time by allowing himself a few moments to simply daydream while fulfilling his duties."

Hermes is known for a God who is finally quite cunning and it is in this that he is similar to Adam. If my OC is not a thief, he is a very good speaker and when it comes to doing business, he is the first present!

THANATOS — PEACEFULNESS

"There is nothing more restful than falling asleep, lulllabied by the sound of the waves. This ebb that goes and comes back, it is so soothing ... That's it, the eternal rest. There is nothing more liberating, more tranquil, than to remain listening to the laments of souls on the banks of the river Styx. From time to time, Thanatos takes a brief moment to simply enjoy this moment when life becomes death and where it begins a new path."

Fubuki was an obvious choice for Thanatos: he has a special affinity with death in general, but most of all, he is a very calm person, even ... slow, to tell the truth. And it's a bit the image I have of Thanatos that is associated with peaceful death.

HADES — MISFORTUNE

"Sometimes it was a small matter to find himself bereft of everything: of the three brothers, Hades found himself with the realm of the dead, alone, without a companion to keep him company while his two brothers went from one love affair to another, both with mortals and nymphs. A few Lampads sometimes try to get God's attention, but Hades remains alone to rule. Perhaps this misfortune is finally not a misfortune?"

And we go on with the deities of the Underworld with Hades! Devis corresponds rather well to him according to me. He is always taciturn, alone, it is really only Coryn who brought some light in his life finally. He has a lot in common with Hades, especially concerning the kingdom of the dead!

CHRONOS — LUCK

"Space and time are the union of two very distinct forces: Fate and Fatality. One believes in second chances, the other tolerates only one path. More often, the second prevails over the first, but it happens from time to time that Chronos manages to break free from his prison to come and change the course of time for certain mortals: the thread woven by the Graeae is carefully cut and tied to another. Nothing could be simpler, let's see!"

Clearly, Yuichiro, we don't expect him to take on the features of Chronos. But do you know that in our great bestiary, well, it is indeed a human receptacle of the God of Fate? And of course, this one is not a nice God ready to help you: with him, second chances often come at a price ...

HERA — JEALOUSY

"Ah, how good it is to be considered the Queen of Olympus. Ah, how unfortunate it is to see her beloved being only a womanizer. If Hera was once respected, she is now considered as a divine who thirsts for vengeance with the love affairs of her dearest Zeus. And yet, she happens to be well to be pitied, to be thus relegated to the row of simple jealous goddess."

Eleonor is frankly a beautiful person who likes to have fun in my opinion. She also has a great attachment to Raymond, which give it back to her more or less, depending on his mood. She knows she is lucky to have charmed him but also that he does not leave anyone indifferent. And she doesn't hesitate to remind them that the place is taken!
