The Void, what a beautiful and endless nightmare it was. Lucien remembered the day he was slain by his brothers and sisters as if it had happened only the day before and not hundreds of years before. Their blades had cut deeper, his screams head echoed until no more would his screams leave his mouth, he remembered the glee on their faces. When he had felt himself first fall into the cold embrace of the Void he felt at peace, as if he had been where he was destined for all along. As he looked at the dark elf he pondered on the fate of the current generation of dark brothers and sisters. The ghostly assassin materialised from behind, a clear voice in the darkness. “Preparations for your next contract are going well, I trust?”

He wrapped his arms around him as he was pulled in, holding him tightly as he swayed slowly from side to side, not making too much movement yet enough to be visible. A moan left his lips as he felt Gabriel’s touch, burying his head into his chest as he took in his scent in turn. Gabriel’s scent always comforted him, to him Gabriel was his home and every time he was in his presence, it indeed felt like he was returning home. Sharp fangs emerged from his gums as he leaned in, grazing his neck. “The thirst is never fully quenched Papi, is it the same for you with your… needs?” he questioned, his tongue teasing his skin as he leaned into his touch.

“Papi, do you think I would make a good werewolf? Humour me.” Axel found their dynamic fairly interesting, he was the vampire who yearned for more than blood, and he yearned to be understood for companionship. Gabriel also wanted this same companionship in the form of a pack, it had taken Axel a while to accept it wouldn’t just be the two of them. Not that he had any problem with it, simply it wasn’t what he was used to whilst in a committed relationship. Sucking on a raspberry lollipop he awaited his answer.

“Blood magic is wrong. I'm no mage, so I'm not sure I'm an expert, but I can tell you that much. It's not natural, not right. It turns the most innocent into monsters. Taking from someone like that and using them, it's just not right. To this day I haven't met a sane blood mage, it tears families apart, how can anything good come from it? The Chantry teaches us about magic and whilst I don’t agree with everything the Chantry says I agree with their view of blood magic. During my travels, I have come across more than one blood mage, and it never ended well for anyone, trust me.”

But even in the middle of all this, I hope you can remember the beautiful person you are. You’re one of the most caring, genuinely lovely people I’ve ever met.
