Hey Folks. I wanted to share something my company is organizing while our staff is working from home. We've been more and more concerned about a serious topic, how most people are feeling right now: the corona epidemic and its worldwide consequences. We want to use the sense of community that exists in the games industry to promote cohesion and staying at home. And we want to do this through the StaySafe!Jam, a game jam where you can develop games from home. For us, it's the first time organizing a Game Jam and we're currently working at full speed on all things that should make a smooth process possible. We are overwhelmed by the support from the industry, so we can also give out small prizes thanks to the many supporters. But it's not about prizes at all. It's also not about companies capitalizing on the event. No, it's just about counteracting the virus and that you and your friends have a little distraction with the giveaways of the supporters even after the jam. We hope that as many teams as possible will participate in the StaySafe! jam and use the time at home in a fun and meaningful way.
Please take care and stay safe. :)
