It amazed Yelena that she had finally scraped up enough money for an apartment, but it was definitely a relief to have a roof over her head. She wasn’t sure how long she could maintain it, but she was grateful that she had a steady stream of jobs for now. She didn’t exactly have too many possessions to move in, but she had a few boxes. When she got to the top of the stairs, she accidentally collided with someone, because she was too short to see over the top of her box.

Shadows of the Past - Zoya and Crina

It wasn’t often Zoya let herself indulge, but after her last assignment, she had earned a little money to spare. It wasn’t like a person like her could keep savings, so she figured she might as well spend it. Tonight, she was going to treat herself to a nice drink. Just one, but it had been a long time since she had had money to burn on alcohol. 

She slipped into the bar, keeping her head down and avoiding the other patrons until she reached the bar. Ideally, she would be allowed to sit alone with her drink, and not have to interact with anyone else except the bartender. 

“Can I have a cherry gimlet?”

He’s not awful at it? It’s not something he does particularly often, but that’s mostly because he tends to have very little “free” time.

He’s done the greater part of designing several tattoos for himself and others, some light painting, and calligraphy on cards.
