GN decanter centrifuges work in Algeria with good performance

At the beginning of last year we shipped over 30 units of decanter centrifuges to Africa for drilling fluids cleaning and recycling works, these centrifuges are for EMEC, who is our valuable partner in Africa, and we held cerabration for the completion of the centrifuges in 30days for client’s urgent project. Later our professional engineer fly to their jobsite for first time commissioning and installation service.Now our decanter centrifuges work well in the jobsite and get the end-users high praise.

As one of the major drilling fluids service companies in Egypt, EMEC has known GN for a very long time and they already bought almost 10 units centrifuges from us with different models before the big project, we established good trust mutually during the cooperation, and we always consider our client’s benefit firstly when their is trouble shootings.That is why we still got lots of repeat orders from our client even thought the oil market is slow down everywhere in the world.

The decanter centrifuges working in Algeria is GNLW363CG, which is the C version decanter centrifuge, compared with the previous version A and B, the C version centrifuge with larger treating capacity, better treating result. We change the feeding method from small end to big end so it avoid the centrifuge feed tube block problems and the screw propeller design is improved for better mud distribution. We have got a lot of good feedback from other clients for the better performance of the new centrifuges.

Except for such high speed decanter centrifuge, we also provide low speed decanter centrifuge GNLW452 for barite recovery, and variable speed centrifuge which can be applied for both low gravity mud and high gravity mud by changing the frequency by the VFD control panel.

TBM Slurry Separation Plant with Polymer Mixing Unit

GN solids control specialized at customized TBM slurry separation plant with polymer mixing and dosing unit as a complete system, the polymer mixing unit is applied for polymer flocculant mixing and feeding to the dewatering centrifuge to get the water as clean as possible, to separate more fine solids under 5 microns.

TBM is the short name for Tunneling Boring Machine, Tunnels of less than a metre or so in diameter are typically done using trenchless construction methods or horizontal directional drilling rather than TBMs.

We ever designed a containerized dewatering unit for Tunneling project with the same application, the main purpose is to get clean water, and dry solids for disposal. The polymer mixing unit can be installed inside the container together with GN big bowl decanter centrifuge, by this way, it is convenient for movement, also it can be located on the skid without standard shipping container for cooling and easy maintenance, also the cost is much cheaper. We can make it customized to meet the client’s requirement.

There are 3 parts in the TBM slurry separation plant: Solids removal unit, polymer mixing and dosing unit, dewatering unit with dewatering centrifuge. We provide various options for solids removal unit/ mud cleaning unit, depends on your required electricity power consumption and budget, we can provide 2-phase cleaning compact design( double deck shale shaker + desander cone or double deck shaker + desilter cone) or 3-phase cleaning premium mud cleaning system, with shale shaker, mud cleaner( shaker, desander cone, desilter cone 3 in 1).

Our dewatering unit can be applied for both powder polymer and solution polymer, with pre-humidifyng system for the powder and dosing system.

What is dewatering unit

What is dewatering unit Dewatering unit is a mixing system to mixing chemicals and drilling mud for floculation. After floculation, the very find solids will be formed into bigger size, and suitable for decanter centrifuge treatment. For easy understanding, we can see that, it is similar like put orange juice into a cup of milk.  It is milk whilte originally, after mixed with juice, immediately, the milk is separated into floccus and pure-like water.

Sizes of dewatering unit Dewatering unit is noramally put into container, there are 20ft containerized and 40ft containerized. Per different customers request, there are different design for the dewatering unit itself. There are 2-chamber dewatering unit and 3-chamberdewatering unit. And per defferent request, it can mixing chemicals from 1 ~ 3 kinds.

Dewatering cantrifuge for dewatering unit Decanter centrifuge is normally used in dewatering unit. Per the jobsite footprint, the decanter centrifuge have 3 kinds of connections with dewatering unit: 1) The decantering centrifuge can put into container, connected with dewatering unit 2) The decantering centrifuge can put on the top of container, connected to dewatering unit 3) The decantering centrifuge can put outside container, connected with dewatering unit How to order a suitable side dewatering unit?

If you want customized dewatering unit, you’d better try to answer below questions: 1) 2 chambers or 3 chambers request: 3 chamber is more widely used. 2 Chamber cannot continue mixing. 2) The chemical preparing speed (Liters/Hr): 1500liters/hr is a normal speed, customer can request customized mixing speed 3) Density of chemicals, in order to make sure the hopper size 4) Chamber capacity (if there is) 5) Other special request (if there is)
