in a similar vein to my pokespe legends arceus post, i think that the gen 10 arc should have at least one scene where the protagonists are discussing plot-relevant things in some kinda beach resort area and there’s a tv in the background showing prism tower turning into a literal monster (no one involved in the actual plot is paying attention to this). the background of the next panel shows somebody yelling to change the channel. the background of the following panel shows x & y lounging in beach chairs drinking martinis or whatever because they aren’t getting paid nearly enough to deal with Lumiose’s current mess
