[In regards to cheating] Don't forget being heavily under the influence and making decisions that you wouldn't do sober.
Yeah but according to tumblr that’s ‘your fault’ for not drinking/using responsibly around responsible people -eyeroll-
But yeah, it happens, and sometimes people don’t know their limits or what other people are going to do- and let’s not forget there are people who take advantage of others under the influence. And while it can be considered non consensual, most people who make that mistake don’t see it that way because they don’t really know that, and most people won’t let them use ‘I was drunk’ as an excuse.
Yes getting drunk and cheating is still ‘bad’ but it’s a lot less under the person’s control what happens when they are drunk, it doesn’t make them automatically a horrible person.
And that comedian’s example was only ONE example of a drunken hookup, that’s not always how they work, not everyone goes to a bar to have drinks and goes home with someone else. It can be as simple as having drinks with a friend at home, so it’s not always a series of ‘conscious mistakes’ like the comedian said.
Augh I hate generalization so much.
A little gift for @deyogee

Oh what a beautiful day it was! The sun was bright, but not hot, and one could almost pretend it was cold fusion, the sky was as blue as chromium (II), and the water lapped gently at the glassy sand. However: the water was absolutely saturated with salt, the cold fusion had given Herbert a sunburn, and the sky was too bright and made it hard to read his book. Herbert sat on a towel (which had some stains that might or might not have been blood), wearing a pair of bright green bathing trunks, and reading his book, The Skeptical Chymist. Or trying to read it anyway. It was too bright, as previously mentioned, sand kept getting between the pages, and Herbert kept getting distracted. He was also not happy about the bathing trunks. He had wanted to wear his usual outfit, what was wrong with that? But Dan had insisted. Dan, Dan, Dan, playing out in the surf as if this wasn’t a horrible and hellish place to be. “Herbert, come on!” called Dan, gesturing. Herbert adjusted his glasses and sulked. “Herbert, I’ll tell you where I hit your Erlenmeyer flask if you get the water.” Herbert grudgingly put down his book. He had been looking everywhere for that flask! The water was cold as the grave and Herbert backed away after putting his toe in. “Herbert…” said Dan, thought for a moment, and then splashed him. Herbert angrily splashed him back. It escalated like the Cuban Missile Crisis, and then defused just as rapidly when Herbert realized there was a large dead thing floating about fifty feet away. “Herbert, NO,” said Dan, trying to drag him back. But it was too late. Herbert was already half-swimming, half-hopping towards the THING. “Herbert, YES,” muttered Herbert. He reached the THING. It was a rotting, blubbery mess. It stank to high heaven, and resembled some ancient creature out of myth. It was, of course, a decomposing dead whale. Herbert was going to bring it back to life. He took the syringe he had taped to his leg (for personal use) and jabbed it into the gigantic corpse. It was potent stuff, and within the minute it began to flail wildly. “Herbert, noooo,” cried Dan in despair. “I gave it life, Dan!” crowed Herbert, and then was knocked underwater by the no-longer-dead whale’s fin. Realizing he had no idea what to DO with the beast, Herbert decided the best plan was to retreat. He dragged Dan back to the car, took one look back at the utter chaos of the beach, and smiled as they drove off. Dan would think twice before he proposed any more stupid ‘beach vacations’.
@deyogee wanted to draw another white haired nerd. Ended up drawing one of your nerds ;3

I've been doing this lately and its amazing tbh. feels good to not be stuck focusing on something I don't even watch anymore! like I've always been multifandom but dw was the main one from the getgo. I'll always love the show (one particular era of it anyway) and the characters and everyone I met on here bc of it, but it was starting to get suffocating. I'd say go for it :)
Yes! I still love the show for where it’s taken me and for being the reason I’ve met some awesome people but I’m a little tired of focusing on just a few seasons that happened years ago. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do what you love, Tumblr should be an enjoyable experience for you first. I transitioned away from DW for the same reason, and you are def one of my favorite DW blogs bc Ecclestone=love. But you should always focus on what you love first or maybe create another blog too.
Thanks! I’d still be spreading Eccleston love because there’s not enough love for him but maybe focus on his other works. I can’t do the whole side blog thing. I tried it once but I just prefer keeping everything in one place.

Oh... I follow you for your DW work but if that's not your thing anymore that's completely understandable
Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if my blog still stays a bit heavy on DW because that’s what I’m comfortable with and change is hard but I’m going to try to branch out more. Plus my queue is still full of DW posts and I have a few edits of my own I haven’t posted yet. :)
What do you think?
Better image of the doctor boys I ment to post yesterday but was a butt and forgot.
@deyogee I wasn't sure what doctor pone ya had in mind so I drew a couple.
