The novel protagonist, Annabelle Angel! The daughter of a country baron, she came to the capitol for the social season only to help foil a plot against Prince Durendal! Shortly after, she discovered more mysteries and plots around the royal family, and began to investigate on her own.

Annabelle was very intelligent and kind, but ironically didn't notice the romantic feelings of most of the male leads for a long time, Durendal included! While ultimately she picked Durendal, she cherished her friendships with the other male leads and not just for how they helped her solve mysteries!

To promote my upcoming thing, here's more artwork! This is Prince Cal as he appears in the in-universe novel, Angel From Above! While he played a dumb, hotheaded brute in the novels, Annabelle figured out he was secretly not just very cunning, but the mastermind behind every conflict and sabotage, including pitting the various male leads against each other.

While he was never really mean to Annabelle, he did often get cross with her and treat her coldly, and very occasionally would intervene in situations that had her in danger. He also warned her early on to be wary of the queen, but Annabelle never figured out why, as the queen adored her and even supported her relationship with Durendal.

For this, I'm actually going to be using Annabelle!

She's originally from the north of the kingdom and the Angel Barony is almost all mountain, so she's very weak to heat.

She totally fell in love by accident, more interested in the intrigue and plots Cal was doing than any of the male leads.

She's one of four people other than Cal in the novel to pronounce "Caledfwlch" right, the others being King Rhiwallon, Prince Durendal, and Clarity.

The novel doesn't touch much on her family, only her Father coming down with her for the social season for her debute, but she does off-handedly mention at least one brother and one sister and that she's the youngest sibling.

While she has some magic, it's mostly minor cleaning spells and the ability to enchant quills to write what she's dictating to them. Otherwise, she has almost no magical power.
