The Malum wasted no time in demanding that Anselm and Valeria forsake their throne and, when they refused, declared war upon the fair kingdom. It was a conflict that lasted for months on end, the army of Stellarum being continually driven back only to press forward with renewed fervor. They were unwilling to let everything the held dear be destroyed forever, hoping with all their might that things would take a turn for their better. At last the time arrived where Anselm came face to face with his Bonded and all was thought to be lost when Tenebris began to crush him in his grip. Their fears were unfounded, though, for by some miracle the King was able to break the wicked hold the wizards had placed on his friend. Now that he was no longer under their control the Malum had difficulty preventing the battle from swaying in favor of the Stellarians, and, eventually, it all came to an end when the last of them perished and restored Tervuren to his natural form. And so, their hearts overjoyed at their victory, they returned home.
"You have been through so much, my heart, and you do not know how happy I am that you are with me once more. I do not know what I would have done if something had happened to you."
Anselm paused to place a hand on her cheek.
"Do you remember our wedding vows?"
She nodded, leaning into his touch.
"Once shattered, now whole."
Her husband pressed his lips to the underside of her jaw.
"Once whole, now united."
Valeria shuddered with pleasure when he delicately nipped the tender flesh there.
"Once united, now eternal."
He kissed her soundly, drawing her close to him as she wrapped her lithe arms around his body.
"I swore to you that nothing would ever break us apart and I meant it."

Um, hello fandom? I’ve never watched Centaurworld before but I kinda spoiled it for myself and became so smitten with the show I decided to write something! Just a little heads up before you read. The fic takes place in a very heavy Alternate Universe setting, that, although it takes inspiration from the canon lore, differs a great deal. So, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. Still, I hope those who decide to give it a go enjoy! ⚔️ 🛡️ 🏰
