[RadioSubs] DGS #28 Guest: Nakamura Yuuichi

Finally all episodes (minus ep 29, but that one is kinda unofficial guest >.>) with dg5 in the first year subbed...Procrastinated a lot with this one but it’s finally done. More notes below!

Notes*

Wagamama Body: Wagamama literally means selfish, willful, egoistic etc. This is an old expression (DGS is old) that seems to have different meanings depending on the gender it is used on. A female with a ‘wagamama body’ means she has an ideal body - (translation from pixiv wiki) “What needs to stick out, stick out; what is supposed to tugged in, is tugged in (referring to flat bellies)”. A male with a ‘wagamama body’ has the opposite meaning, ‘What should be tugged in sticks up’ --> referring to body fats/meat. In this case, referring to Nakamura, who at the time was pretty ‘meaty’. 

Soukanzu:

So this is the full picture of the Soukanzu generator. You can try it here. The order you input the name do matter, so if you want to reproduce this exact picture, you have to input the name in this order: ひろし-だいすけ-ゆういち -ともかず-ひろき, in hiragana. You will probably get a different result if you input in kanji. But this is the result they talked about in the radio and they obviously left out all the BL suggestions lmao. The part about lolicon buddies is actually just the relationship between Tomokazu and Daisuke, but they might have seen it as a cross instead. As for the BL cues...lol I don’t know much about the genre so I might get the ‘terminology’ wrong, but here’s what it says (i assume all bl fans know what seme and uke means): 

Yuuichi -- (seme) -- (invite/initiative uke) -- Tomokazu

Yuuichi --(kenage uke/brave uke?!) -- (oresama seme) -- Hiroki

I don’t know what all these means, but you guys have fun imagining xD

[DGSsub] Episode 22 - OnoD is Legendary

Hey all~ sorry for the late Tumblr post. Needed sleep -.-

Trying to fill in the blanks for as many 2007 dgs episodes as possible so here is another one~ (though imo the early episodes of dgs are the best |3) I started working on the episode a long long time ago but I didn’t really have the right software to work on the manga portion that’s why it’s kinda dragged on forever. But GIMP is my new friend and it’s good enough for its cost (which is zero atm lol) so yep~ I feel like i have more to say about the episode but after one night of sleep I forgot what I wanna say already -.-

Have an early Christmas and New Year Eve! (I may churn out another episode or two before the year ends but sorry, I don’t have any special ones lined up atm -.-)

OnoD, You Suck!

Still recovering from 150+ hours of Persona 5...Atlus, I demand a sequel or at least a spin-off

I’m in the midst of doing some really long episodes, including a 1hr episode and several 20+minutes ones and they get pretty draining...So I wanted to do a short episode less than 10 minutes that I can finish in a day to kind of tide myself over and to revive my dying sense of ego and accomplishment

This is a short episode back in 2008, I thought it’s pretty funny, hope you guys enjoy it. For this episode I used a piece of fanart from @rinfiorarara <3 Thanks again ^^ I’m always looking for dgs related fanart, so if you want to share your works, let me know! (I’m not very familiar with zerochan and pixiv etc so sometimes I don’t quite know how to get artists’ permission...but if you can help me out on that, that would be awesome :3)

Let’s play the Nakamura-mentions drinking game~ Drink a shot every time Nakamura’s name is mentioned in this episode xD I assure you will be drunk by the end of the episode |3

Thanks to @ectini for the timing~ This was so long ago as well haha…and it wasn’t easy with 3 ppl mumbling and talking at the same time >< otsukare~

Finally done with this nightmarish episode after opening like a hundred tabs lol. As usual, Sugita inserts countless references and says stuff that makes you go, “Huh?” Sometimes I skip lines when they overlap and when I seriously can’t hear their voices clearly…but hopefully that’s not much. This is a fully-subbed episode, minus the song…and though I realized it later, I removed the ending part as well. I guess I was really lazy that day xD But it’s just the usual ending talk so you don’t miss anything. 

Should I tag Nakamura for this post? lol
