biography.

ibrahim aslan was born in turkey in the middle ages. born into poverty, the boy didn’t agree with how those around him accepted the fates they were born into. rather, he organized an uprising at the age of fourteen. surprisingly, those that helped him overthrow the tyrants fell into line nicely for him. he ruled over his own home city, making sure that his people would continue to eat and prosper rathan than suffer. word of the young and ambitious leader made its way back to elijah mikaelson who then made it his mission to recruit him to the strix.

being turned into a vampire was a welcome change in rahim’s life because it gave him more power than he could ever imagine. rather than compulsion, he found that he had the power to affect gravity. focusing on any given area nearby, rahim was able to severely increase the force of gravity in that area. his power hindered those in the area to be unable to move or move extremely slow and the earth can begin to crack open in the area if he focused hard enough. he felt loyalty to elijah for giving him this power and he did the original vampire’s bidding.

word of his power got to the volturi and garnered their interest, causing them to reach out a few times but rahim always politely declined. that was until mikael was planning on killing his children and elijah compelled some of his own to believe they were the mikaelsons so he could escape. watching tristan turn the organization into something sinister thereafter and the threat of the mikaelsons always over their heads, rahim and his mate decided to accept the volturi’s offer and moved to italy, leaving their organization behind completely.

life among the volturi was well for a few hundred years. slowly over time, rahim was turned into something more ruthless himself. it was inevitable in keeping the secret of vampires safe at all costs as well as the way that the volturi insisted on getting their blood. a misunderstanding with his mate a few centuries into his place among the guard caused aro to order the death of rahim’s mate despite rahim’s begging. watching her die before his own eyes enraged him, but he was smart enough to know that taking on the volturi would only result in his death and she wouldn’t have wanted that.

so, in the early 1400s rahim left the castle and resumed life in europe for a while, finding every way possible to profit off of the stupidity of humans. he inserted himself into many royal families in various countries and toppled the economy or stole money before vanishing. rahim wanted to remain financially independent and worked hard to amass immeasurable wealth over the span of about 200 years. without the heart of gold he had once had, he then decided that getting back into the good graces of the strix would be his best power move.

it took a lot of convincing, but he soon was welcomed back into the good graces of tristan de martel. rahim decided that humanity would always see his kind as the villains and rather than put on the false mask of a hero like the volturi did that he would embrace the villain that he was. over the years he has become more trusted by tristan and gain more power within the strix, but he wouldn’t consider himself to have any strong personal relationships. he does admire tristan for his intelligence and ability to lead, but he believes that growing to care for others will ultimately get in the way of him enjoying his existence.

rahim can appear kind, especially when he wants something from you, but his humanity left long ago with the death of his mate. focused on keeping allies and a good name among the strix, he isn’t interested in connections beyond that. this mindset has left him rather lonely, but he rarely has time to dwell on it. his possessions and glamor are very important to him and he is often busied with keeping his personal finances as well as those of the strix as a whole growing. largely he abhors humanity as he knows that most of them and those of his own kind would kill him no matter what he did, so he decided he will fully take advantage of the benefits of being a vampire. his actions are never thought through with how they affect others.

HISTORY

An angel almost as old as time itself. Charged with watching over humanity for millennia, Castiel is able to recall tales of evolution, ancient civilisation and bore witness to infamous biblical tales. Until 2009…

Sent to Hell with an army of angels to rescue Dean Winchester from the pit, Castiel was the one to raise him from perdition as heaven believed he could help stop the apocalypse. His true form is as tall as the Chrysler building and unable to be shown to most humans as it would blind them. So, in order to walk the Earth, Castiel uses the vessel of a devote man who gave the angel permission to possess him. This is how he was first introduced to Sam and Dean who had never seen or heard of angels before. They had never seen anything that was powerful enough to smite a demon by simply touching it, or able to manipulate time, or seemingly unable to kill.

The angel had seldom interacted with humans before and finds many things such as the fluidity of human emotion and reason baffling. Therefore, Cas appears blunt and awkward in conversation initially but with time, he develops more empathy and starts to see the beauty in the flaws of humans.

Castiel became involved with the Winchester brothers and their mission to prevent Lucifer from being freed from Hell. These ties became more personal over time when his fellow angels betrayed him and had plotted to bring on the apocalypse all along. He broke allegiance with Heaven, losing some of his power, but gaining allies with the hunters and eventually becoming successful at locking Lucifer and Michael in the cage together, avoiding the end of the world. In this fight, Castiel was killed by Lucifer and resurrected by God into a stronger, more powerful rank of angel (seraph). This solidified his newfound free will.

The threat of the Apocalypse loomed once again and Castiel chose to lead an army of rebel angels to fight the archangel, Raphael. The angelic battles resulted in Cas becoming more distanced from the Winchesters and responded to less and less of their calls. The brothers were unable to grasp the severity of Cas’ situation. In his desperation, having realised his army were unable to beat Raphael alone, Cas teamed up with the demon (Crowley) to ultimately betray him and ingest all the souls from Purgatory. This provided Castiel with powers much stronger than his rivals who he did not hesitate to destroy. However, the potency of the power and souls inside of him manipulated Cas into believing that he was the new God. The ancient, evil souls from Purgatory (Leviathan) possessed Castiel - killing him.

Resurrected by God once again, Castiel practiced as a faith healer known as Emmanuel. He was unable to recollect that he was an angel or had even recognise his friend Dean Winchester (who he had once stated shared a profound bond with Cas) Once reminded of who he was, the angel had great regret and shame surrounding what he had done and ventured to save Sam Winchester from his own mind by taking on the man’s torture-fuelled madness. This attempt at redemption left the angel in a catatonic state.

Castiel only woke once again as Sam and Dean had uncovered the word of God which sent a piercing signal to all angels that a prophet had been anointed. He is very knowledgeable on biblical lore and is able to help the Winchesters identify and use the tablet to discover how to kill the leviathan that had been unleashed on the world by Cas. Dean and Cas were standing next to the leviathan leader when they killed him - the act sending the pair to Purgatory.

Upon entering Purgatory, Castiel left Dean to fight off the mob monsters alone as Cas knew that his angelic presence acted as a beacon for monsters to come and try to kill him. Dean had teamed up with a vampire who had a plan to help the trio escape from Purgatory but Castiel resisted this plan, insisting that it wouldn’t work for him and he would only put Dean in more danger by accompanying him. Refusing to take no for an answer, Castiel went along with Dean’s plan but pulled away from Dean at the last minute to ensure the man’s survival and serve penance in Purgatory for his wrongdoings.

Castiel was mysteriously freed from Purgatory and returned to the brothers before later finding out that he and many other angels were being controlled by the angel, Naomi. Naomi forced Cas to carry out the assassination of Dean (whom she thought Cas had cared too much for) many times and compelled him to execute his friend for the final time in order to secure the angel tablet for heaven. Fortunately, upon touching the tablet, the connection between heaven and Castiel was cut off allowing him to be free-thinking once again. The angel healed Dean of the wounds he had inflicted on him before fleeing - on the run from Heaven. Although he eventually managed to escape Naomi’s control, he was manipulated by the angel Metatron into completing a ritual caused all Angels in heaven to fall to Earth. The ritual involved Metatron stealing Castiel’s angelic grace, leaving him human.

PERSONALITY

Initially Castiel displayed the same cold, impulsive and apathic traits as most angels but begins to question the morality of his actions the more he is surrounded by humans on Earth. He learned to become more empathetic and even developed a strong relationship with Dean Winchester - who he feels sworn to protect despite his other obligations. Furthermore, Cas now sees human’s as incredible, flawed works of art and feels it is his duty to protect as many as he can alongside the Winchesters.

Compared to other angels, Castiel shows great humility and deeply regrets his actions that have caused harm. He tries to redeem himself regularly by unburdening the Winchesters, healing the sick and doing his best to do what he believes is right by humanity. However, the angel can be idealistic and naïve in his acts of bravery. He often thinks little about consequences, even now, due to his tactless and straightforward behaviour, putting the needs of the many over the few. He believes in freewill and that everyone should be able to choose their path and do what they think is right. Despite this, Castiel trusts and relies on the input from the Winchesters who he sees as role models for making the right decisions. Further influencing his tendencies for self-sacrifice.

Samuel (William) Winchester was born on May 2nd 1983, to Mary Winchester and John Winchester. Being the younger of two (at the time), his brother Dean was only four years old, but had to take on the role of protective older brother sooner than anyone would have expected. On November 2nd, when Sam turned six months, tragedy struck after a demon killed Mary and set the baby’s nursery on fire. Baby Sam escaped thanks to Dean, who carried him outside and John. From that day on, everything changed. Their father, took upon him to avenge the death of his wife and became a hunter (and one of the very best at that). His obsession took a toll on the brothers and while Dean, obediently followed dad’s orders, Sam was always rebellious of his plans, often clashing with him, unable to follow blindly. He was 9 when dad gave him his first gun; only twelve when he started hunting and once he reached the age of 18, he wanted to be normal and live a regular life. After a huge falling out with John, Sam left for college. With an incredible score on the LSAT and a full-ride to Stanford, he didn’t look back. Until a couple years later, when Dean came knocking on his door after their father’s disappearance. 

Everything has been a blur ever since and he stopped counting the years once he realised there was no going back. Death followed him everywhere he went and when demons killed his girlfriend just to ‘keep him on the right track’, he knew there was no going back. He fell through the rabbit hole, followed his desire for revenge like his father did, but even after dad sacrificed himself and even after Dean killed Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon, evil never stopped. 

THE BOY WITH THE DEMON BLOOD;

As if destiny decided to pull a prank on him, he realised there was a much bigger picture and a much more devious plan behind everything. Azazel’s plans for Sam unfolded when he found out the demon had given him his blood as a baby. In time, the demon blood in him started changing him; giving him psychic abilities and darker thoughts. With every action he stepped closer to the edge of a cliff and when he took the final step, he unknowingly freed Lucifer from its cage. With the devil walking the earth, the apocalypse started and angels and demons fought for power over each other. His guilt ate him up and nearly broke the bond he had with his brother, but he managed to atone for his wrongdoings when he became Lucifer’s vessel and held him inside long enough to open his cage. Jumping in with Lucifer inside of him and the idea of being trapped with the devil in its cage for eternity seemed like a small price to pay. 

Nonetheless, fate had him saved - yet again - after the angel Castiel pulled him out of the cage and later on Death, the black horseman itself, gave him his broken and tortured soul back. The mental and psychological damage was permanent though and those mental scars will remain with him forever, no matter how many times his body is put back together. He has died, countless times, he lost his soul, he was tortured for hundreds of years in hell by the devil itself and yet, here he is, still. 

This time, he really thought they were onto something. Finding a way to shut the gates of hell forever seemed too good to be true but thanks to Kevin and his translation of the trials, there was hope. Ever since the first trial, when he killed that hellhound and felt himself change day after day, Sam never thought about quitting. Even after the second trial weakened him beyond belief; even during the third trial, when he could have actually died. He was ready for it and fully at peace with his choice if it meant that everyone could be saved and the world would be at peace. And yet, in true Winchester fashion, things went awry. With Crowley escaping and opening a gate to hell, freeing every demon and every monster in purgatory along with Metatron and his megalomaniac ideas, casting every single angel out of heaven, he feels like he broke the world again. It doesn’t matter how many times people tell him he was doing the right thing, he still knows he failed and now, another apocalypse is upon them.  

Currently, Sam is severely weakened after completing two trials and half of the third. Rest alone seems to be a slow solution that is not agreeing with him, especially because he insists in going out to hunt nonetheless now that every monster seems to be roaming around. He hasn’t seen Castiel in two weeks, but he has heard word of the falling angels and has been trying to reach him -- with no luck so far. Dean has been trying to keep Sam in the Man of Letters bunker and get him to heal, but he’s not been successful so far, so both of them have been taking cases and hunting as much as they can.

PERSONALITY:

More than anything, Sam takes things to heart. He’s the more sensitive out of the two brothers and definitely the one who expresses himself more. When it comes to talking feelings, Sam has no problem admitting his short-comings and blatantly say how he feels. As for asking for help when it comes to solve those problems, now that’s a different story. In his head, he needs to figure things himself, heal himself when he’s hurting and tend to his psychological wounds. It’s mostly because he doesn’t want to burden anyone nor worry them more than necessary, so he’ll deal. Sam is selfless despite having had moments of weakness. As he is now, he is the first to admit that he screwed up pretty bad more than once, but he’s trying his best. He is loyal, caring and loving; so much so that he has trouble letting go of people who have yet to leave his heart despite not being physically in this world anymore. He has a tendency to blame himself if he doesn’t let people know what he feels, for fear that he might lose them before they know they are important to him. Sometimes hidden, the little Sam that idealised something better and the Sam that still hopes and believes is still much alive in him. All and all, he just wants to protect those he loves and save as many people as he can.

Tale goes that after a brief fling between a witch named Tasha Banes and famous hunter Asa Fox, the woman got pregnant with twins. Max Banes was born 22 years ago along with his twin sister Alicia. Just like his mother, Max is a natural witch and his affinity and natural talent for magic revealed itself quite early in life. His mother taught him everything he knows, every incantation, spell, all the right ways to use the power he was born with and then developed over time -- even though he jokes with it and tells everyone the most important thing he’s been taught was not magic, but how to seduce men. Because he is a natural witch like his mother, the two have always shared a deep connection and understanding. Being a skilled and very powerful witch, he’s developed the ability to perform magic without even vocalising the spells if in need.

Max is older than Alicia (only by three minutes), but he will still use that as an excuse for how protective he is of her. All in all, the two of them are two sides of the same coin and despite their differences in personality, their bond is deeper than anything and they are practically inseparable. Contrary to his sister, Max is more relaxed and easy-going, he doesn’t dwell long on problems, trying to always find a quick solution for them. Despite the fact that he looks more detached sometimes, his demeanour changes when it comes to family.

Despite being raised only by their mother, they know their father and Asa has played an active role in their lives, visiting as much as possible throughout the years. Being a hunter, the man has done all he can to protect the twins from the danger that a consistent presence in their lives would entail for the two. As far as Max has learned, being in a family of hunters but also part supernatural being was an open invitation for anything carrying blood lust and an intent to kill. Raised by a witch, but also a hunter herself, Tasha taught Max and his sister how to hunt evil witches and continues to do so ‘til this day.

Max had been just in the outskirts of Lebanon, following a tracking spell cast on a certain ancient artefact  when he caught wind of huge demonic omens and the string of disappearances and murders in Devil Hills. Despite being by himself for the moment, Max decided to head over, book a room at the Hillside Hoteland -- because why not enjoy a comfortable place when one can cast a spell on the clerk and stay for free -- and investigate. 

PERSONALITY:

Max is a kind-hearted guy who just wants to live his best life. He has an easy smile to those he trusts, but it doesn’t take him long to read someone and decide if they’re worth his time. He has a tendency to brush things aside and not worry too much until he absolutely needs to or situations become dire, which, can be considered one of his major flaws. He’s generally flirty, very outgoing, equally witty and sarcastic to boot. He can be quite stubborn but also very driven and self-sacrificing.

It helps that shortly after they were turned Niklaus trapped their oldest brother in a coffin to sleep for centuries. He was a romantic and while he’s had more than a few affairs over his life there are a few in particular he has never been able to let go of. He is the most rational of his siblings but it all due to his mother. After he murdered his first love she taught him how to hide the horrors of what he was. As long as he locked the bad things away behind a red door and cleaned himself up no one would ever know. Family is everything to him and no matter if he agrees with them or not he will do whatever he has to in order to protect them.

jane was born in england around 800 a.d. to an anglo-saxon woman and a frankish soldier. she was born just a few minutes before her fraternal twin brother, alec. even as humans, both twins displayed strong physic abilities.

aro wanted to add both twins to the guard at a rather young age, however the volturi had already instated their strict guidelines on turning children -- therefore, he had to wait until they were old enough to turn. their talents had not yet taken a focused shape, however those who wronged either twin typically had bad things happen to them, while those who showed the twins kindness found themselves in their good graces.

eventually both twins were found too frightening to endure and were accused of being witches, condemned to be burned at the stake. upon hearing the news, aro hurried to the city and was able to save both twins from execution. both twins were turned, and soon became the most prized members of the guard due to their incredibly powerful gifts.

after the pain she experienced while burning at the stake and the anger she felt towards the villagers, jane’s power took on a sharper form after turning -- giving her the power to inflict the same burning pain on others in the form of illusion. about a decade after joining the volturi, both jane and alec’s powers were displayed for the first time -- completely destroying a coven’s army. since then, both twins have been considered the cornerstone of the volturi’s offensive abilities.

over the years, jane’s frightening power has made her incredibly sadistic -- she’s come to actually enjoy inflicting pain on others and receiving respect for the power she possesses.

it’s rare that jane is ever separated from her brother and the rest of the volturi, so being here has made her incredibly on edge -- meaning she’s prone to using her power without giving much thought behind why she’s using it. it also doesn’t help that she’s sadistic in nature, therefore she has little to no remorse for using it.

while here, jane’s been keeping a very close eye on the strix -- meanwhile, also trying to avoid encountering one of the originals, as she doesn’t want to find out just how much power they actually have.

she was born in bulgaria as katerina petrova on june 5th, 1473. at the young age of seventeen, katerina gave birth to a baby girl out of wedlock and was disowned by her father. she was forced to give the baby up and was exiled to england. this is where she met both elijah and niklaus mikaelson, and was initially attracted to both men. however, in time, she learned that she was a petrova doppelganger and that niklaus intended on using her as a sacrifice to break the curse that bound his werewolf side.

katerina ran with the moonstone, tricking another vampire into giving her her blood so that she was able to turn herself into a vampire. due to her no longer being human, she could no longer be used as a sacrifice in niklaus’ plan to break his curse. klaus was so infuriated that he murdered katherine’s entire family, leaving her on the run for the next 500 or more years. somewhere down the line katerina took on the alias katherine pierce.

when she traveled to mystic falls, she met both damon and stefan salvatore, eventually falling in love with both men. she fed both brothers her blood, causing them to transition into vampires after being killed.

during a fight between elena, another doppelganger, the cure was shoved down katherine’s throat, causing her to become a human / traveler for the first time in over five hundred years or so. silas later on drained her of nearly all her blood, removing the cure from her bloodstream, which in turn caused her body to age rather quickly – attempting to catch up with the last five hundred years.

katherine is reunited with her daughter, nadia, for a short period of time until a werewolf bite takes her daughter from her.

katherine uses her traveler magic to become a passenger in elena’s body. however, when elena’s friends find out, she’s stabbed with the traveler knife, expelling her from elena’s body. soon after, she is dragged by unseen forces to what is presumed to be hell.

upon escaping from hell. the first thing katherine did upon returning was become a vampire once more. it took some convincing for a vampire to give her their blood, but she’s katherine pierce and manipulating is her strong suit.

katherine wanted a fresh start, therefore she’s decided to call devil hills home for the time being. she wasn’t expecting her favorite mystic falls gang to arrive in town as well, so it’s safe to say she’s a little annoyed with their sudden arrival.

katherine has been keeping her head down, trying to avoid stefan, damon, elena, and the rest of their friends – deciding she’d like to wait a bit before making her presence known. of course she won’t stay hidden forever, but if she’s to make an entrance, she wants it to be a big one.

( phoebe tonkin, 20/22, female, she/her ) well if it isn't hayley marshall-kenner. rumor is that they’re a hybrid from the originals and they found their way to devil hills, ks 5 days ago. they can be a bit stubborn & headstrong, but some of that is made up by their tendency to be motherly & protective. one of their top played songs is goddess by jaira burns. some sights and sounds that embody them are muddy combat boots, twigs snapping, snarled hair & bared teeth. hopefully they pick the right side of things or stay out of the way.

biography.

born as andrea labonair, she was born into one of the two ruling families of the crescent wolf clan. both her mother and father were murdered when andrea was quite young, meaning she never got to know either of her parents, nor was she made aware of the werewolf gene she carried. she was then adopted by a human family and given the name hayley marshall. upon triggering her gene and transforming on a full moon in her adoptive family’s living room, she was kicked out.

hayley then traveled the world, jumping from wolf pack to wolf pack, never really staying in one place too long. she had high hopes of finding her birth parents. after nearly being killed, she meets niklaus mikaelson and sleeps with him on a drunken whim. her crescent moon shaped birthmark caught his attention, as he’d met a certain bloodline of werewolves with the same birthmark.

hayley then travels to new orleans, trying to find information on her birth parents. this is when she meets jane-anne and sophie deveraux, who tell her that she’s pregnant with the original hybrid’s baby. during her time in new orleans, she becomes incredibly close with the mikaelson family and gives birth to a beautiful baby girl named hope.

while holding her baby for the first time, she is killed by monique deveraux so that the covens of new orleans may sacrifice her baby on esther mikaelson’s orders. however, due to hope’s blood running through hayley’s veins, she is turned into a hybrid and successfully takes back her baby.

hayley married jackson kenner, uniting several wolf packs in the bayou who in turn promised to protect hope from any threats. after being forced to choose between jackson and the mikaelson’s, hayley decides to run away with jackson and hope, fearing what may become of the mikaelson’s with dahlia around.

however, when hayley tries to run with hope, klaus teams up with dahlia and hayley, along with the other crescent wolves, is placed under the crescent curse -- forcing her to remain in wolf form until a full moon. 

canon changes.

with the crescent curse temporarily lifted, hayley is determined to find her daughter. she is willing to do absolutely anything to ensure the safety of her daughter, and she’ll be damned in niklaus keeps her from hope any longer.

that being said, hayley is beyond angry with niklaus. nothing in this world means more to hayley than hope. she’d quite literally die if it meant protecting her daughter.

hayley is very on edge, as she’s been in wolf form for longer than she’s used to, so adjusting to being in human form again has been more of a struggle than she cares to admit. not only that, but she hasn’t seen her daughter and has no idea where she is, and that alone is putting her on edge.
