I wanna address something I just posted about. This is specifically directed towards my mutuals who are writers, because I have seen way too many of you get discouraged and upset, and it's awful.

Do what is right for you, but as long as you want to be here, please don't give up on writing. Let's make one thing clear. It's not tumblr staff that flags your posts; if that was the case, ALL fics and posts with explicit material and wording would be flagged. It's readers that make a report on the fic they came across.

Nobody wants to say anything. I don't really care though. A lot of you don't know, but there is literally an entire "tea" blog dedicated to bashing writers in this fandom. For asking for feedback, for writing in a style the anons don't like, for having a kofi, for writing yandere fics, for writing... christmas fics (please don't ask, because I don't know. apparently that's "sexualising santa").

And several anons there encourage our fics to be reported. Because "not everyone needs to see our nastiness" lmao. Something I found out about thanks to @aajjks. She brought the blog to my attention.

Please don't let bullies discourage you and chase you off this website. You'll always have support here, whether your blog is small or big.

Fics that are under the cut and use appropriate warnings have no need for extra labels, but people will do what they want, and they revel when authors like you disappear. Clearly. So, please don't, especially since no matter how difficult things are, your writing is an art and it's loved and appreciated by the right people.❤️

people treating grace proposing to sing in the garrison to raise the men's spirits as this outlandish fanfic tropey thing as if singing isn't just something people do, as a social activity, especially in pubs, especially like 100 years ago where this was a very popular means of entertainment because there wasn't much else in a place like that happening beyond getting drunk (they didn't even have radios or tvs as background noise back then lol)
