Katrina Kaif's cameo woes - The promise, however, was not kept for in the just-released Thugs of Hindostan as Katrina has been reduced to a dancing prop. Though Dhoom 3 offered Katrina Kaif a song and just a few dialogues, the actress said she had taken up the role to get a chance to work with Aamir Khan, since she had worked with the other two Khan superstars before. Apparently, Aamir and director Vijay Krishna Acharya promised Katrina that she would be given a substantial role in their next film together. The promise, however, was not kept for in the just-released Thugs of Hindostan as Katrina has been reduced to a dancing prop. The other leading lady, Fatima Sana Shaikh, has a much more elaborate role.  Says a Source, “Kat’s role was meant to be a guest appearance. They wanted two sizzling special songs from her, and that’s it. But then they decided to use Katrina to promote Thugs of Hindostan alongside Bachchan saab, Aamir and Fatima. Considering her closeness to the Yash Raj banner and her determination to be in the good books of Yash Raj, Kat was seen promoting the film. A wrong move, and one that misled her fans.” Tragically even her next release, Aanand L. Rai’s Zero, has her play a cameo. Katrina comes in for a while and breezes out. “But she will leave a lasting impression,” promises Rai.
