"Hey! What are you doing?! Stop!" Kenzi ran over to the two boys fighting and grabbed the taller one, wrapping her arms around his waist, pulling him back- or at least trying. "Stop! Guys!" She shoved the taller boy away and got in between them again. "If you're gonna throw a punch at each other, you're gonna have to hit me. Fucking do it, I dare you."

Peyton's life was nothing but normal. She was vulnerable, weak, and scared but she got through it. Her life was unpredictable but that's what happened when you're born and raised in a town like Dover Hills. Things had been settling down and everything that happened in the past really helped form who Peyton was today. She was happy. Happy in the sense that things were finally falling into place for her. The brunette was finding her place in the world and she was becoming something more than a ditsy redhead who talked to walls at the parties or being stabbed.

In the past few months, Peyton and Cameron had taken a bigger step. A much bigger step but something actually really amazing. Of course Pey always had a soft spot for him and Peyton always believed in everything happening for a reason. That everything that happened was meant for the two of them to find home in each other. They soon had enough courage to move out of their comfort zone and try something out and to be honest it was one of Peyton's best decisions. She got a decent job, moved out, and was infatuated by everything that was Cameron.

It was a Tuesday night when the incident happened. Peyton couldn't wake up. Her body felt empty and numb and all she could hear was everything around her, blurred and overwhelming. Trying to figure out what was happening was another surreal sense because she literally felt lost. Like she was in a dark room alone, all the sounds suffocating and squeezing the room around her. Those days continued and she could only breathe when she knew he was there. He would talk to her and causing her to scream inside, she would scream but nothing came out. It felt like her soul was locked in a cell banging at her chest to get out. All she wanted was to say something back. But as quickly as she could understand what was going on she would fall back in her trap and couldn't come out. The doctors kept close attention to her and Peyton couldn't even tell the date, nor how long she was trapped. But she soon could finally sense things, smell and feel. With countless tests on her hands, tiniest movement were a good sign for the recovery, at least that's what she seemed to understand.

It was three months and Peyton opened her eyes. It was something she couldn't explain, finally being free and the doctors standing over her and talking quickly. The sounds were loud and all she wanted was to hear his voice. She struggled to talk, she struggled to do anything really. Peyton could only listen and squeeze things in her hands. She still didn't know how long she was like this and he still wasn't there. His voice was always there, always telling her things will be okay. But then it started to fade and she couldn't remember the last time she heard his voice. That's all she wanted, his voice to push her voice to finally release with her breathing. A week and a half later, she finally found her voice. Her father and mother finding her inner strength and helping her with small conversations. It took her four days to finally find the courage in herself to pick up the phone and call to hear his voice with desperation and confusion.
