What advice would you give people who keep electronic but mostly private "journals?"
Print it out if you want to keep it for the future. Look at what's happening to Twitter—there's going to be a lot of information lost as that website goes down in flames. Even if you don't ever choose to share it with anyone, paper is the best method for longevity.
Failing that, back it up to a good quality hard drive. Not a flash drive, because those aren't meant for long term storage.
