Today's CSUSM Extended Learning program for "Business Emergency Preparedness Plan" certification training held at Red Cross Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Previously Scott Hansen, City of San Marcos Disaster Planning Specialist shared stats 90% of small businesses do not have Emergency Operations Plan to handle a disaster; 25% of those small businesses will never again re-open their doors after a disaster (the disaster will wipe them out financially), of those that DO re-open, 90% of those businesses will go out-of-business within next 2-years! Coordinated by CSUSM Continuing Education's Wendy Evers. SignUp for the weekly Chamber eNewsletter (See Our Facebook SignUp) for upcoming business and community information. #sanmarcos #csusm #sanmarcoschamber #smcc #diasaster

Seven months ago, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Nepal near its capital Kathmandu. Experts had warned that the country was vulnerable to a large earthquake any time in its future, and as fate would have it, we were there on the particular day when it happened. In such a short amount of time the whole world changed for us backpackers turned disaster victims turned refugees. The same can be said for thousands of people throughout Nepal that day.
Sono un disastro..
ho mille motivi per esserlo.. purtroppo..
