DiBaBaLife
Consistency is key but the ability to consistently ease away from those who wish to pass you is where the real skill lies.
Training your body to sustain a pace that is quite simply unsustainable in the eyes of your competitors is what dreams are made of.
Effortlessly going through the gears is a trademark of one of our heroes.
Tirunesh Dibaba born June 1, 1985 is an Ethiopian long distance track athlete and the outdoor 5000 meters world record holder.
She is also the current World and Olympic 10,000 metres champion and in total she has won five world track titles and five world cross country titles.
She is nicknamed the “Baby Faced Destroyer" and she is the reason why at TrackMafia you often hear the term #DiBaBaLife. The question is why? Why do we look to DiBaBa for inspiration? This was not a 12.5 lap race where she sat for 11.5 of them and ran a fast last lap. It was perfection personified. Winding it up, eating away at the already fatigued legs of those who wished to challenge her. The question is how do you train for that? How do you prepare your body to run at a pace which is uncomfortable yet still have the ability to give not just a little bit more, but a lot. The answer is simple. MADNESS. Let us explore…
