Druid Leaf-like Dice Pouch by ForestGreensDesign
I made a big fish pouch! I got this idea while I was learning to do the crocodile stitch recently, because it works as fish scales so well.
I figured the drawstrings would look kind of like the “whiskers” of a catfish, so I used that instead of attaching a zipper. It does leave the mouth more open, but I like the look of it :)
Missing our summer Market and the people that made it so special <3
Big photo dump but I didn’t just crochet these dice bags - I designed the pattern for them myself. Admittedly that’s less impressive than it sounds, I just couldn’t find a pattern for dragonscale pouches that was shaped the way I wanted so I took what I know about shaping crochet pieces and applied it while plugging in stitch/row counts until I got what I wanted through trial and error. But I’m still proud.
A little sunset pouch, with clouds on the inside!
An All Tomorrows inspired gift, a colonial dice bag knitted up in the span of three days. There isn't much I would change, just the shape if I make another one.
The eye is pretty easy to do, if you can make a buttonhole in your work, it functions as a pair of eyelids, then you sew some fabric to the wrong side to make the eyeball. I used a crochet circle which made the lids more 3D.
If this speaks to you, you're more than free to make your own version. The only instructions I had from the gift recipient was "it has to be big enough to hold this amount of dice," which it does.
green man and woman pouches!
