Having too much fun with the skill check dice table I just finished writing. I've not been a fan of the roll just-the-d20-for-everything method D&D and Pathfinder have so I'd like to suggest my sliding scale of just the d12 to every dice in a polyhedral set.
While those results ranges might seem extreme, it should be known that by adding in more dice it just makes the average result more likely. So while they can crit real high, it more likely going to be closer to the average than anything else.
Also, in case it's not obvious, the difference between the second last and last is using the second d10 a normal polyhedral set has.
Also also, I'm tempted to make a tool to give more specific answers to what the actual likelihood of the average roll is for any dice roll cause I was haunted last night with probability spreads for dice results and would rather just be able to point to a graph.
