Check out my game for #AloneGameJam on itch.io! beyond the distant dappled lights https://randomprojects.itch.io/beyond-lights “They say you’re gone for good, but I can't bring myself to believe it. How could I? You've already pulled off so many impossible feats during these turbulent years; what is yet another? If anyone could escape this fate, it would be you. If you see this while I am away, please wait for me.” You are a traveller making a journey in the aftermath of a calamity. With a standard deck of cards and a d4, you journey to find the lingering traces of your lover in a world without them. At the end of your journey, are you reunited with your lost love? Or have you given up? “Oh my beloved, the long night has fallen, and fallen again — but yet still have you not returned?”
a mobile suit, its newest pilot, and the ghost that haunts them
The system is ablaze with flames of war; battle lines are drawn and none can escape. The only way to survive is to join the private militarized companies strong enough to possess its own mech.
You belong to one such group. One of you is the mech, the ultimate weapon in your troop’s arsenal, while the other is its newest pilot, replacing their dead love on the battlefield. For 3 players, one of you is the black sheep responsible for the previous pilot’s demise.
In the end, who is the dead pilot, really?

Submitted my tabletop game (my first!!) for the April Alchemy: Tabletop RPG Jam on itch.io; you can find it here :D
Look on My Works, and...
You are alchemists in the city’s rival schools, racing to complete the Great Work and ready to make your mark on the world. Will you attain enlightenment, fortune and eternal youth? Or will you be one of countless destitute wretches, forgotten by history? (concrit extremely welcome!)
Check out the other entries for April Alchemy here!
sometimes i think Mobile Frame 0: Firebrands could be played with a GM who is primarily responsible for introducing in-world events (like... I think the complication of the TTA interfering with Bantral is really interesting and underutilized?) but the prompts in the minigames are so good (my faves are A Dance, A Tactical Skirmish, and Meeting Sword to Sword)
there are ttrpg concepts that i find incredibly amusing, but haven’t found a way to make them playable yet?
like… i still find the idea of a party of clerics and paladins, all supposedly worshiping the same deity but have (potentially) Wildly Different Interpretations and Approaches to the faith incredibly intriguing? and because PCs are get their powers from their deity they have to worship their version™ of god to retain their powers—PCs are derived thru ‘playbooks’ and ‘dogma’ AKA their attitude towards their faith and their (church’s) interpretation of their faith
oh a similar vein, dealing with heroes after their epic adventures in the transition between How Things Were and How Things Are Now (Thanks To The Heroes) and/or just Reputation of The Heroes vs Who the Heroes Actually Are is fun and exciting... in the middle of writing a one-move mini-game inspired by #YourMoveJam, gonna add more mechanics in that you’re on the long road home after an epic quest and how your encounters (card-based prompts) are influenced by your quest
then there’s the larp idea of a bunch of transmigrators who find themselves on different sides of a cold war (which may or may not turn very hot very abruptly depending on negotiations)/faerie court shenanigans/political intrigue etc, and they a) only have limited info on how the world works and 2) do not know the others are also world-hoppers. (aka Fake It Till You Make It; The Game)
same/limited-class ttrpg parties are really fun?
like. wouldn’t it be funny if EVERY SINGLE PC is a cleric/paladin in service of the SAME DEITY... EXCEPT they all have WILDLY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS of the faith, and WHAT THEIR GOD IS LIKE
or a party of bards, all from COMPETING SCHOOLS -- except they’re ALL KICKED OUT following A WILD SHINDIG, wake up PLATONIC VEGAS-MARRIED, and everyone has DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS of WHAT REALLY WENT DOWN
this is just. really fun to think about
just played some Mobile Frame 0: Firebrands with my folks... it’s their 1st roleplaying experience, and they had a pretty good time! my mom really enjoyed chewing the scenery with her Bantresh noble princess, and they both have a pretty solid grasp on making narrative interesting choices that are in character. i’m real glad they were willing to try this game and roleplaying in general :’)
