Vitra Design Museum

On this field trip we went to the Vitra Museum, it was very interesting to see bit of the history of some design classics, as well as get inspired by some designs exhibited in the even more so beautiful Herzog & De Meuron Building.

A desire for density

Dichtelust - that’s the title of the current exhibition at the Architekturmuseum Basel. It shows the relevant topic of growing density within cities. Various projects which will often shape a whole part of a city are introduced with text and a 3d model. The different building companies show a nice range of different 3d model building techniques. Personally, I am always pleased to inspect the scale models out of a bird’s view. It is literally and figuratively a change of perspective : )

I myself think that the challenge of a higher density in living areas offers the chance for people to grow. Grow together, be more social, share spaces and opportunities. There are great ideas out there and I’m very curious to track the change.
