so, after reading that article about the waitress fired from Applebees, I was reminded about the time Dick DeVos, who ran for Michigan Governor, and is from a super rich family that basically owns all of Grand Rapids, ate at a restaurant that, at the time, my dad was working at. His party all had dinner, and didn't leave a tip on table. When he went to check out at the register and got his change back (less than a dollar) he handed it back to the cashier and said "give it to somebody who really needs it."
