Dick Rivers - Via Lucifer (1966)
Dick Rivers, born Hervé Forneri, took his stage name from Elvis Presley's character Deke Rivers in the film Loving You. Along with Johnny Hallyday, he introduced rock n' roll to France, though most of his recordings are pretty pedestrian to my ears. Not so this psych pop sitar fabulosity.

RIP Dick Rivers.
