fleur could count the amount of times she'd been to america on one hand — dickie's parents and princeton seemed like a lot for one trip, but it happened to work out. rather well, she thought. and, for what it was worth, despite having to see his father, dickie seemed happy. if he was happy, then she was too.
she didn't think picking an outfit out for this club would ever be so stressful — since when did she stress over what other people thought of her? she felt it at the greenleaf's home, and now. she'd blame it on her lack of confidence when it came to speaking english — though, it turns out the accent she despised and the lack of vocabulary came off as charming. lucky for her.
“ how does this look? okay for somewhere as prestigious as princeton? ” she turns away from the mirror and turns to dickie, hands running over her hips and her legs to smooth out her dress. some blue thing she found while packing, something she hoped would work. “ not too ugly or childish for them? ”

“ hm. you're sweet. ” she grins, walking over to dickie and kissing him quickly. after she's pulled back, one hand cradles his face, the grin growing to a rather brilliant smile. “ i'm happy you invited me. all these places . . . i feel like i've never known you so well. ” fleur reaches down to kiss him again, slightly longer than the first. “ give me ten minutes to do my hair? i'll be ready after that. ”
