the cruelest thing is that this is all fantasy. it's fiction. they wrote other dimensions, monsters, superpowers. they could have written literally anything in the universe they wanted. including a world where there was some way, no matter how unrealistic, where this little girl they invented gets to be happy. but they chose, evidently from day 1 , to create a world where all that's ever in store for her is suffering and then death. it's really just a bit sick. like what kind of people take delight in telling a story like this
