Die Hard 2: Die Harder was a much harder watch now that I know way more about aviation than the last time I watched it as a kid...

Like, "hello, yes this is the airport tower, we're completely fucked and will soon lose radio"

Pilots: "Hurr durr, guess we just circle in the air until we drop out of the sky I guess"

And that's not even getting into the technical inaccuracies of how the ILS and other systems actually work. Like, the planes didn't even have radar altimeters? Which has been standard since the 1950's at least??
