Another Monday has come and almost gone, depending on where you rest your head.
Currently, I’m laid up on my couch watching the Great British Baker and dreaming of holiday bread! Oh god, I love bread. That’s like the understatement of my entire life. You know that meme with the toddler whose running around with a big stack of bread? Yea, that’s me.
I go weak in the knees over a homemade sourdough and faint right in front of you for a baguette (butter is required for full physical breakdown). I can turn down cakes and cookies and sweets all day long but if I make eye contact with a well made bread loaf..you won’t see my crumby face for a week! 🤪
Let me save you a struggle I’ve battled with the last 10 years. If you want the bread, eat the fucking bread! I’ve spent way too much time fretting over how many calories and how many miles..blah blah, bullshit. It made me an asshole, so please don’t follow in my footsteps.
If you are working out and eating healthy to lose a substantial amount of weight (first, fucking good for you!) create a sustainable practice. You don’t have to be perfect all the time to lose weight, you will still see a difference in the scale of you have a brownie or a cookie or a slice of bread! The key is to not over indulge, enjoy it and keep pushing toward your goal.
Health is about the balance between mental, physical, and emotional. That’s what we should be striving for, not having a stage ready body with PTSD from eating a white potato. (Don’t worry, I need to hear this too 😉)
