Needed to get in some vert and visualisation material for this week, so I ran the first 5k and last 3k of the #DV50 course. . Tons of new gravel on the loop so I imagine the start around is going to be pretty fast. Those hills though after the road crossing are no joke and gonna heat people up if you’re not already. . And the trail up to the Sasamat trail connector was a river most of the way. Happy to say that the #nbhierrov3’s performed nicely on the wet rock and roots both up and down. Rain or not next Sat, there will be rushing waters on some of the trails. . Today was about getting the head straight and finishing fast with a smile at my car parked at the start/finish line. Will likely not open it up on race day like I did coming down the mountain today, but u never know...if the legs are feeling it after 47k, those last 3 could be a lot of fun. . Or if the wheels fall off, could be the longest 3 ever. New Year’s Day DV - first run of the year and made it a quick up and down to the first viewpoint on Sugar Mountain. . Surprisingly landed a top 10 spot on the segment from the floating bridge to the viewpoint and back, so that was a bit of a bonus. . Have a feeling that I may be working to better that time before DV50 in April. . Happy New Year’s peeps!
