A script for an upcoming Devourer Amy [my Sonic.EXE take of sorts] comic! Day The Devourer Awoken

[ tried to completely revamp the backstory of hers, feel free to give it a read, all those pages will be at some point converted into some form of visual/comic so we'll finally see if I have what it takes to make a story myself and accompany it with visuals that make for a good character take! Aka: I wasn't happy with the 15 paged backstory I lined haha- ]

Page 1 -

A crew of a few mobians stand in the middle of the forest, Sonic, being their leader. Other members include: Tails, Knuckles and Amy.

Sonic: "Alright, team, we're looking for an emerald or something- it should be roughly the size of a small coin… Apparently it can also glow and if you use some specific devices, it even emits energy!- or something like that-"

Tails: "That's right! We must hurry though, we know very little about these gems, only that Robotnik really wants them!"

Page 3 -

Sonic: "True… though let's be honest, Egghead can just melt them into some lens for a better laser and burn a forest down to make way for whatever he's planning…Anyway, we got to split into 4 individual teams and look for the emerald, so [Panel 2] I hope Amy has her hammer, [panel 3] Knuckles has…had his cardio? [panel 4] And Tails his gadgets, cuz I wouldn't want you to get missing now!"

Amy and Knuckles silently agree, though it can be seen that Amy wishes to ask a few questions, but will rather not say a thing, a second panel of this silent part will include everyone splitting into a different part of the forest.

Amy will walk through the forest as her thoughts project onto the screen, Amy throughout this has a more worriless smile on her face {He's always looking out for us, even if we're treated as equals! I can't really blame him… ever since that egg guy began terrorizing the planet, everyone started to disappear one by one… he apparently holds them for interrogation purposes and after they're useless, he'd use some…weird gadget that would make us his mindless slaves… at least that's what Cream said before we rescued her…apparently these drones do manual labor or are converted into a more android look to fullfill some specific tasks for Robotnik. I blame myself, honestly… If I looked any further we probably could've find Vanilla and although Cream doesn't blame me one bit… I will not rest until I will reunite them again!} (possible visuals divided into 2 more pages could be made)

4 panels, each divided by members of the individual teams, Sonic scouting on a Tree, Tails holding a radar looking gadget with a troubled look, Knuckles climbing on a bigger tree to get a visual and Amy wandering through the forest with something glowing in the distance.

Amy finds what seems to be the described gem. It is blood red and glows against Amy's brighter pink, creating a magenta coloring. In a second panel she reaches it and takes it. a third panel from a side or behind we can see someone is following her as the hue is yellow. (Mecha Sonic's visor)

Mecha Sonic Mk.II who didn't noticed the gem and only Amy stands behind Amy who seems happy at first, in the second panel her expression changes to a more angry look

She takes her hammer, swinging at Mecha and thus pushing him a bit back to get some distance between the two in the 2nd panel. in the 3rd panel she presses something to call for help as with 4th panel we see Sonic alerted.

Sonic, nervous rushed to the location of the alarm, but upon getting there in the 2nd panel… nothing except Amy's hammer is there. Sonic looking stressed out calls to the team:

"Guys, abort mission, they got Amy, I repeat, they got Amy! Regroup, we need to find her!"

Page 13 -

Amy wakes up to the sight of [2nd panel] Metal Sonic, not Mecha this time, Metal Sonic has been there, sitting and watching Amy [3rd panel] who looks confused. [4th panel] Someone calls to her, with her looking more nervous.

"Ah good, you're awake…! Almost thought Mecha took the life out of you, but seems like he simply put you to sleep before you could even react…"

Robotnik entered the cell in 1st panel and sat down on a chair in the 2nd.

3rd panel:

"I'm sure you know the drill. Your little rabbit friend told you most likely how this goes so let me put it simple… if you tell me where to find your friends' little base, I will let you go and live your life under my reign or…you will be glad to accept this offer by the time I come back..!"

Robotnik leaves with:

"I'll be sure to ask you every day, in case you'd change your mind…I'm a genius, not a monster after all…!"

panel 3, Amy looks speechless/frozen, wondering why is Metal there with her until he seemingly got up, and left in the 4th panel.

Sonic is looking around, passing through 4 different locations on each panel, talking with Tails:

1st panel Sonic: "We gotta find Amy, we can't lose another one!"

1st panel Tails: "I'm working on locating nearby Robotnik's bases, but.."

2nd panel Sonic: "What is it, Tails?"

2nd panel Tails: "None of them shows signs of organic life!"

3rd panel Sonic: "Why would he take her somewhere else?!"

3rd panel Tails: "I'm not sure! I think he wants information…"

4th panel Sonic: "So he hid her far where we wouldn't look…" Sonic looks visibly saddened or stressed

4th panel Tails: "I'm afraid so…"

Amy seems still a bit frozen and seems to be lost in thought, given the collar on her neck and the fact she stands at an assembly line in the 2nd panel that's zoomed out

Amy seems weakened, her quills are messy and her colors are lightly faded with her starring at a plate of food Eggman holds to himself. She hasn't seen food since the day she was captured and Eggman knows this, that's why in the 3rd panel he smiled "If you wish to have a meal like the rest, you know what to do! Uncle Robotnik's always a call away…!"

2nd week later…

Amy is looking at the gem in her hands

"at this point I'd even eat a rock just to have SOMETHING… This is excruciating! Where could they be? They wouldn't forget about me…would they…? Of course they wouldn't… what am I thinking?! I'm too weak to even attempt escape though… all I'm good for now is that assembly and manually assemble whatever Robotnik is building…"

Eggman sees her through cameras

"Is that…it's not a Chaos Emerald, but it is… something with a high energy, it's comparable to a Chaos Emerald, but it's smaller and blood red…maybe a phantom Ruby? No, of course not."

3rd panel, showing a panel of one of his stolen journal pages that shows this gem as a Dark Stone.

[Stone that grants a wish to the user, but unlike the 7 Chaos Emeralds, Dark Stone comes with a price. Corruption. Dark Stone shifts it's user gradually as the number of uses has yet to reach a limit. Apparently it's energy is infinite just like Chaos Emerald, the only difference is the size and the coloring AND their documented numbers. Apparently Dark Stone is but one.]

Eggman talks to himself:

"Fascinating…I knew it couldn't be tied to a few bundle of gems, but a Dark Stone is a really dark breakthrough! You cannot corrupt an evil genius such as myself after all! What would you corrupt me with? My own ambitions? BWAHAHAHA! That's a good one! But… if Amy believes it's a Chaos Emerald, it's only good, because she won't believe she can use it! PERFECT!"

Eggman is strolling through his base… [panel 2] looking at the Earth from the orbit?! [panel 3] Eggman smiles, visual is through the glass on the station. [Panel 4] Eggman is smiling with a cut in the middle of Sonic looking through on the planet "Everything is coming out nicely…!"

Day 16. Amy seems indifferent now, at an assembly line in panel 1, at panel 2 she's holding some scrap in the line, in panel 3 she's returning back to her cell, in panel 4 she's lying down.

Eggman opens the door in the first panel

"Time's up! I know you have it…"

Amy in second panel looks like she have seen a ghost

"huh…?!"

Eggman enters the room in third panel

"The Chaos Emerald of course! There's no reason to struggle, I know you wouldn't be able to overpower even a wooden plank! You were once a powerhouse with Knuckles, but…hunger is a real nasty customer when it starts gnawing on your muscles!"

Eggman extends his hand

" I will count to 3…"

2nd panel, Amy is looking at the Dark Stone while "one" was counted

3rd panel, Amy looks at Eggman who counts "two" already

4th panel, Amy looks more determined than ever this past 16 days with Eggman counting "Three…"

"Time's u- HUH?!"

Eggman said while seeing Amy eat the Dark Stone.

Panel 2, Amy's hue changed to white as she froze.

panel 3, Eggman ran away and in the hallway says "Is the raw energy going to rip this station apart?!"

panel 1 to panel 2 her teeth rapidly sharpen with quills changing form and color to a more magenta one.

panel 3 to 4, her frail and weak body gained musculature and compensated for her withering body by adding onto her weight somewhere around what she once had, of course not even Amy remembers how she looked like so the Dark Stone basically winged that calculation.

"Alright, I miscalculated the will and defiance of Sonic's close friend… Metal Sonic, Mecha Sonic, dispose of her immediately before the raw Dark Stone energy blows this ship sky high! I will evacuate and I hope to see a positive report soon!"

Amy is wandering around the station, confused

"I- what happened?! I-…felt a lot of pain and now it's all gone… I remember being captured by…it's all so foggy, why can I see the images of what happened, but not remember the full context…?! It's…bizarre…"

in the 3rd panel Mecha Sonic Mk.II stands before her and Amy looks shocked

"I remember you! You-…" Amy narrowly dodged a punch from Mecha in the 4th panel with her only saying "Hey!"

"alright, that's it!" she then charges at Mecha Sonic MK.II

The punch sent him flying through multiple walls in 2 panels

"Wha?! I did that…?" panel 3

Amy got jumped by Metal Sonic who she dodges.

"Metal…Sonic! I remember you! You…you were nice…" Metal Sonic stopped himself in panel 2 and in panel 3 they both stood in front of each other

"Wait, you're sparing me?" Amy asked and Metal didn't answered. Mecha Sonic in the meantime got back, looking at Amy.

Page 35 -

Mecha Sonic was to punch Amy, but Metal caught the punch in his hand. Metal Sonic just like in original iteration is made up entirely of Sonic's data, but this Sonic is much more willing to risk his life for his friends and Metal Sonic has that burned into his code as well, that's why in another panel he punched through Mecha's visor when he held him in place

"I…I don't know what to say…! Thank you! I-"

Metal Sonic points to a nearest exit.

"Right right, on it…! Thank you again!"

Amy runs off

Page 37 - Amy is rushing through the base, going to Eggman's now empty office and opens the cells with a button and presses an evacuation alarm button to signal to the prisoners to run.

Page 38 - Amy got to an escape pod with 2 Mobians following her and asking if they may join

"Well…sure! There's a room for all of you!"

And so the pod launches

Amy sits with her thoughts, but one ate at her mind for a longer while now, an illusion of hunger, Dark Stone's messing with her perception of her newfound power. Although she's pushing it aside, she does look at the Mobians with a thought of [I can't let hunger get the better of me, I can have food back at home, we're already close!] And that's how she pushed the 1st attempt at corruption aside.

Sonic's running across the zones, seeing pods flying from the sky like a slower meteor shower! "Uhhhh Tails…I think throughout this time…we forgot to look above us for Amy…!"

Page 41 - Mobians are evacuated with Amy in the 2nd panel laying in the grass

"I…I'm out! I'm back on the ground and all's well..! It's all over!"

Amy wandered through the zones again, speeding up, she seems to be much faster than she ever was before, celebrating

"I'm finally freeeee!!!" With tears of joy forming as she ran until she was stopped in panel 3 when standing in front of…Sonic!

before Amy could say a word, Sonic instinctively hugged Amy in panel 4, with her surprised!

Sonic: "I was worried we'd never see you again, Ames…you really gave us all quite the scare…! Oh my…I must've ran too fast, I lost the communicator with Tails, he'd be super happy hearing your voice again too…!"

Amy: "Sonic? Is that really you…?" [He forgot about you.] "huh? Who said it?!"

Sonic: "Who said what? Amy are you alright? You- woah, you look different! Looking cool there, Amy!"

Amy: "Oh? Hehehe, thank you Sonic!" [He left you behind.] "huh…? No he wouldn't…!"

Sonic looks confused

Amy: [He left you to die alone.] "Sonic would never do that…!" [Then why he hasn't found you in 16 days? Fastest thing alive. Couldn't find poor Amy Rose.]

Darkness surrounds Amy deep in thought.

[You were left to rot while he and his friends focused more on beating Robotnik than to get you out.]

"No…he wouldn't leave me behind, you don't know Sonic…!"

[I know your every thought. What I say is what you thought at least once in those 16 days. Look at him. So happy to see you as if he didn't expected you to ever return. He already gave up on you.]

"But Sonic would never…"

[Are you saying this because you feel something for him this whole time? Is your judgement really blinded by this SENTIMENT he doesn't even share for you?! He doesn't care if you live or die, how is he better than Robotnik, hm?]

"I-I…I know he's not like that…! He's better than Robotnik, you're just messing with me-"

[Oh really? Why were you the only one starving and exhausted? Why would you all split if he knew what threats loomed the forest? Why wouldn't his buddies not consider one of Robotnik's strongest bases?! Now he escaped and this fool is trying to act surprised when all he's ever done was leave you behind. Remember the times you wished to talk to Sonic, remember the times where you shown nothing but kindness, but all he did was run away from the thought that you might have developed feelings for the Blue Blur. Doesn't it gnaw on your head that every time you invited him to relax, to ease his worries and enjoy some time with friends he swayed you to the side? Ever since you two were little he's done nothing but evaded you. Ignored you. Took you for granted and for what? So that you'd end up in Robotnik's hands and almost die because of your devotion to him? How is he better than Robotnik after all this? You know this is true. What I said… are your own thoughts, memories.]

"Sonic… where were you when I needed you?"

Amy asked, her heart aching from the feelings of betrayal, abandonment.

Sonic: "Amy…we were looking for you this whole time! We didn't counted on Egghead to take you to the fleet instead of a ground base..!"

[He's lying.] Amy: "Really…?"

Sonic: "Of course, Amy! Tails had to force me to sleep, because even if I was exhausted, sleeping as I ran…I would've gone through the caves and every rock on the planet to find you…!" Sonic extended his arms to offer Amy a hug.

Amy accepted and hugged Sonic with tears running down her cheeks…tears of sorrow.

"I…I don't believe you…" [I don't believe you.]

And before Sonic could react Amy bit into Sonic's neck like a predator would his prey.

Amy sat in silence above Sonic's laying body.

[You wish to believe you weren't right, don't you? Savor him. Let there be no trace of Sonic The Hedgehog left. You loved him…you still love him. keep a part of him. Devour the rest. After all…you are starving this whole time, aren't you?]

Page 49 -

[Good. Good. You are able to control your powers better. You are…complete. You hid your part of Sonic and ate the rest. You now see how they all saw you this whole time. As a freak obsessed with Sonic, even after you all grew up from blinding emotions. They still saw you as a Sonic obsessed freak than a friend. At least… they will know soon they weren't all wrong, yes?]

"…heh…funny that you sound exactly like Sonic…now be silent…"

[Wha-] link between Amy's inner demon and Amy severed on a thought, although too late, this would've easily severed the corruption. Not like she could know before it was too late.

Analysis of a formerly confidential contract w/ Big Fish Games, Elephant Games' finances, the original termination emails, & more (FULL ANALYSIS ON GOOGLE DOCS)

Due to Tumblr repeatedly giving me errors for making an extremely long post despite having a high character limit, the full 30-page analysis is on Google Docs. This comparatively 6-page Tumblr post just lists the main takeaways from this new update to the lawsuit by BFG Entertainment (Big Fish Games’ new owner) against Elephant Games since I last posted about this, with reference to GrandMA Studios’ lawsuit against BFGE that I also posted about.

The gist is:

Elephant has “removed” the lawsuit case to escalate from a state court (the King County Superior Court) to a federal court (the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington). To those not in the U.S., this means the case has been relocated to a court of higher legal authority. This means all new legal documents submitted for this case are now under the official government website PACER, under the new case number 2:26-cv-02251 for the aforementioned federal court.

Elephant has requested a temporary restraining order and then a preliminary injunction against BFGE to force them to retract their copyright claims on Elephant’s self-published games on Google Play and the App Store before the court case has even reached its decision. Both Elephant and BFGE have submitted so far at least 20 exhibits (e.g. evidence) as proof of their claims and counter-claims against each other in relation to Elephant’s requests to revoke BFGE’s copyright claims. You may view all submitted documents and exhibits for Elephant and GrandMA’s cases in this Google Drive folder.

I will elaborate on the crux of these new submitted documents. For now, just know that these new submitted documents primarily include:

1) the original 2018 contract between Big Fish and Elephant that dictated the specific rights, development schedule, and amounts paid between Big Fish and Elephant. Although this is Elephant’s copy, other developers like GrandMA are known to follow the 2018 contract.

2) an exchange on Slack dating Oct.16, 2025 between Big Fish’s then-Director of Business Development and Elephant’s CEO talking about their thoughts on BFGE’s new ownership of Big Fish (which had started by Oct. 4, 2025).

3) the many emails sent between BFGE and Elephant over the termination of Elephant’s 2018 contract, and BFGE’s bad-faith behavior against Elephant. This includes BFGE’s initial Dec. 3, 2025 termination notice of the 2018 contract, BFGE’s Dec. 11, 2025 follow-up email, BFGE’s second Dec. 15, 2025 termination notice, Elephant’s Dec. 16, 2025 response to these termination notices, BFGE’s Mar. 12, 2026 notice of breach against Elephant, Elephant’s own Mar. 20, 2026 termination notice of the 2018 contract, BFGE’s third Apr. 28, 2026 termination notice, and Elephant’s final May 4, 2026 response before BFGE sued them 2 weeks later.

4) the defendants’ official responses to their respective lawsuits, including BFGE’s June 16, 2026 answer to GrandMA’s lawsuit, and Elephant’s July 23, 2026 answer to BFGE’s lawsuit.

1) The 2018 contract, briefly analyzed.

The 2018 contract establishes Big Fish as effectively the signed developers’ boss, near-exclusively owning the IP rights of all of the developers’ Big Fish-published games and having the final say on whether a developer can make, publish, and distribute a non-free-to-play game on their own or for a different publisher. Big Fish required a Windows and Mac version of a developer’s game, and could mandate the developer to also produce the Collector’s Edition version, the iOS version, the Android version, and/or localized non-English versions of their game. The developers could self-publish their developed games for Big Fish on mobile starting roughly around 2017.

The 2018 contract’s section 2(b) emphasizes the importance of time in the developers’ pace of developing games. The same section also requires that the developers develop games of “equal or greater quality” to their most recently developed game or prequels in the same series. I will leave it up to you to decide whether newer HOPAs are of “equal or greater quality” to older HOPAs.

The 2018 contract also establishes that Big Fish is obligated to pay the developers two types of payment for each game. The amounts of these payments vary over the years.

The first type of payment is pre-release advance payments for each milestone that the developer accomplishes, submits, and gets approved by Big Fish for in the development of their game. These milestones typically include a game’s concept proposal, its alpha, its beta, its final PC version, its Mac version, its translated versions, its Collector’s Edition version, its iOS version, and its Android version.

Based on the contract’s list of Elephant’s released and planned hidden object games between 2009 and mid-2019 and their associated advance payments, and knowing that the advance payments for each of Elephant’s hidden object games in the 2020s have stayed fixed since 2018 (source), my calculations show that for Elephant’s 197 listed, fully released, and English games between Mar. 2009 and Feb. 2026, Elephant was paid in total at least $33 million dollars in advances alone, being paid $1.7 million to $3.6 million dollars for Elephant’s at least 10 premium HOPAs per year by Big Fish between 2012 and 2025. You may view my spreadsheet on Google Sheets to view these calculations. This post’s attached graphs illustrate how Big Fish’s advance payments to Elephant greatly increased within 2011-2013 (roughly $200K per game), peaked and stayed consistent during 2013-2017 (roughly $240K per game), and then tanked since 2017 and up to 2025 (roughly $135K per game).

This data alone seems to back up why certain regular developers like Blue Tea Games left around the early 2010s (they only made 2-4 games per year and thus were paid much less in total), why other certain regular developers like Elephant and Eipix stuck around for a long time (they made 10-20 games per year and thus were paid literal millions more in total), and why some certain regular developers like Eipix and AMAX left more or less around 2020 (they were paid much less in advance since 2017).

The other second type of payment is post-release revenue shares (aka royalties) that are fixed percentages of the revenue earned from the developer’s game monthly across the multiple platforms Big Fish publishes them on. Importantly, Big Fish only sent out a game’s revenue shares once Big Fish had earned enough money from that game’s revenue to recoup the advance payments they sent to the developer for that game and that game only.

The attached bar graph shows that while developers only earned 10% of revenue earned from their Big-Fish published games on websites and iOS devices released between 2011-2017, they did earn 40% of revenue earned from their games on such websites and even 50% of revenue via mobile platforms for games released since 2017. The omission of revenue percentages since 2018 is due to Elephant beginning to self-publish their mobile games, which they would get 100% of their revenue from.

Big Fish no longer mandating and paying in advance for mobile versions of the developers’ games since around 2017-2018 would explain why developers like Eipix and GrandMA stopped making mobile versions of their HOPAs around this time.

The 2018 contract also establishes specific term expiration and termination clauses that would be repeatedly cited in BFGE, Elephant, and GrandMA’s correspondence to each other over the developers’ suddenly terminated contracts. I will briefly note them later.

2) The Oct. 16, 2025 Slack messages, briefly analyzed.

The messages are between Big Fish’s then-Director of Business Development Jeremy Fair and Elephant’s CEO Nikita Shamakov, discussing a recent meeting with Elephant’s co-founder Dmitry Kuklin, BFGE’s CEO Lasse Jensen, and BFGE’s co-founder Tim C.. Note that Lasse and Tim are former but recent executives of iWin, another casual games publisher. Also note that Jeremy has worked for Big Fish since 2007.

Jeremy and Nikita express being “excited” for a “new age of partnership with Big Fish” at the time, which I presume might partially have to do with BFGE refocusing Big Fish to only focus on their premium and mobile casual games business; Big Fish’s previous owner, Aristocrat Leisure, still owns Big Fish’s previous casino games via their subsidiary Product Madness (source). However, Jeremy admits being confused by BFGE’s executives’ future plans (including one to take back Elephant’s current self-publishing mobile game rights), saying “they didn't use the most clear words when speaking”. Jeremy also opines that Elephant is not obligated to return these rights to BFGE, stating “if I personally had mobile rights to games and someone wanted them badly enough... I'd charge them a pretty penny for it”.

Jeremy Fair suddenly stopped working for Big Fish by June 2026 after 19 years of working for Big Fish. He has not officially clarified why he left Big Fish. It is not hard to imagine that BFGE played some role in his leave, especially given that his Slack message is now publicized. BFGE’s lawsuit against Elephant after all is looking to remove Elephant’s self-published games from mobile platforms.

I will only do broad takeaways in this post, you may view a full timeline stitching together all of the emails on my Google Doc.

BFGE sent notices to Elephant and GrandMA around Dec. 3 and Dec. 4, 2025 terminating their contracts, revenue payments, and any distribution and licensing rights “effective immediately”. Both developers correctly point out that this is in blatant violation of the 2018 contract’s section 6(b) explicitly laying out that in the event of a termination, BFGE is meant to give a 30-day notice letting the developer cure whatever breach they apparently committed. There is no right to “immediately” terminate said contract.

BFGE in their Dec. 3 and Dec. 11 letters cite Elephant apparently “breaching their obligation to provide services exclusively to Big Fish Games, Inc. during the term of the Original Agreements”; they don’t elaborate on this nor give Elephant an explicit chance to cure this at all, and the breach they later cite against Elephant in all future documents pertain to Elephant apparently failing to deliver their games’ assets and source code to BFGE once BFGE acquired Big Fish, which is different wording entirely.

For at least Elephant, BFGE backtracked from their “effective immediately” termination notice in Dec. 3, stating in their Dec. 11 letter that they “clearly reference” the 2018 contract’s section 6(a) letting its current term naturally expire by Apr. 20, 2026. This is in spite of the fact that the Dec. 3 notice only broadly references section 6 and verbatim notified the “immediate termination”, not eventual expiration of the 2018 contract.

The 2018 contract obligates BFGE to send to Elephant on-time advance payments, revenue shares, royalty reports (e.g. reports that detail the statistics on said revenue shares), and operation cost payments to maintain Elephant’s live-service HOG Midnight Castle. These deliverables remain owed at least as long as Elephant’s contracts are still active (whether they’re still owed after the contracts expire is unknown to me), although revenue shares are not paid if the developer is found in breach. Elephant claims that BFGE was months-late for multiple games’ advance payments both before and after their contracts were “terminated”, still hasn’t delivered Elephant their owed monthly royalty reports, and still hasn’t paid Elephant their owed $30K milestone payment for Grim Tales 27 (Elephant’s last Big Fish-published game), their owed $85K operation cost payments for Midnight Castle for Nov. and Dec. 2025, and their owed revenue shares for all of Elephant’s Big Fish-published games on all platforms earned since Oct. 2025.

In terms of premium hidden object games, BFGE reasons that they no longer need to pay these games’ revenue shares to Elephant because Elephant has “$6.5 million in unrecouped advances” for all of their games. This does not hold when the 2018 contract explicitly requires BFGE to perpetually individually, NOT cumulatively, recoup the advances of a developer’s games with their revenue on a game-by-game basis; BFGE is meant to continuously pay the revenue share earned from a developer’s games who advances are already recouped (unless the developer is found to have committed a breach). BFGE claims in their Dec. 11 letter that recouping all advances in total would take “maybe 100 years at current revenue levels” for Elephant’s Big Fish-published games. If this answer is serious, Elephant’s at least 197 Big Fish-published HOGs are apparently only making roughly $5,416 in revenue per month, while Elephant’s at least 121 self-published mobile ports of their HOGs are reportedly making $17,423 in revenue per month, more than 50% of Elephant’s total revenue (this claim comes from Elephant’s CEO, paragraphs 19-20). This would explain why BFGE’s lawsuit demands the removal of Elephant’s self-published mobile games: they want these games’ higher revenue for themselves.

The 2018 contract also already contractually obligates Elephant to deliver the assets and source code of all versions of their developed games for Big Fish, otherwise Elephant would not have been paid in the first place. Despite this, BFGE somehow never received such assets and source code from the previous Big Fish at all, and even claims that the previous Big Fish somehow never received such items. This led to BFGE’s request to Elephant to re-submit their entire catalog of games in a Google Drive folder, sweeping “across approximately 18 years and more than a hundred projects” all while identifying “no specific game, version, file, or deliverable” (per Elephant’s answer to BFGE’s lawsuit, paragraph 31). The 2018 contract does not explicitly authorize BFGE to require Elephant to re-deliver their already delivered items to BFGE, although it also does not explicitly allow Elephant to have deleted these items after Elephant already delivered them to the previous Big Fish.

4) BFGE's answer to GrandMA's lawsuit, briefly analyzed.

BFGE’s answer is relatively much more lackluster in detail: the majority of it denies each paragraph of GrandMA’s lawsuit without elaborating. The most noteworthy observation is that they accuse GrandMA of committing “breaches of contract” without elaborating on what they are. I presume this relates to GrandMA’s refusal to sign BFGE’s contract replacing the 2018 contract with no other alternative (this is mentioned in GrandMA’s main complaint document for their lawsuit). If so, BFGE still did not follow the 2018 contract’s section 1(e)(iv)’s obligated “good faith negotiations” to continue GrandMA’s licenses once the contract would end.

On a more miscellaneous note, BFGE’s new internal studio (besides updating the previous Big Fish’s remaining mobile games Midnight Castle, Fairway Solitaire, Cooking Craze, and Cascade) has so far developed only one completely new mobile game called Puzzle Deck (see playthrough), a jigsaw-like puzzle game featuring artwork from Big Fish’s published HOPAs, including the previous internal studio Big Fish Studios’ artwork of the original Hidden Expedition and Mystery Case Files games, and interestingly Elephant’s, Eipix’s, and GrandMA’s artwork of the later Mystery Case Files games, in spite of BFGE’s litigation with two of three of these developers.

It works well for my level of work, but if you're out here being doing the most photo-realistic highly detailed huge beautiful art... um, I would probably try to grab a newer generation device that is not a decade old already like the one I got.

Today I learned: The number in the Amazon Fire name is the number of inches of the screensize, so the bigger the number, the bigger the screen and drawing space! So, a Kindle Fire 10, or 11 will have a bigger screen than a Kindle Fire 6 or 7.

It will require a few downloads, and enabling developer options on a tablet, but don't worry, the guide will walk you through each individual step, and a lot of it is automated, so don't feel intimidated, you got this!

If you want a stylus better than the cheap generic ones usually sold for phones, this is the style that I have, which is called a "Capacitative" stylus:

I don't know if the "capacitative" part actually does anything special…? Maybe it does on newer tablets, I just prefer these by being able to see the actual point of contact on the screen more easily. You can usually buy these online or maybe at actual eletronic stores for anywhere between $3-$20, I got a multi-pack for around $15 because I constantly lose them into the ether of ADHD "out of sight out of mind".

Another setting I enable for easier drawing, is to go under the full device settings, and either under Accessibility (Or, Developer Settings), turn on the option to "display touch"/ "Show touch: show visual feedback for touches" so that you can actually see where your finger/stylus are in contact with the tablet while drawing.

Of course, if you have a bit more money to spend, you can skip past all these steps of buying a used Kindle Fire tablet and jailbreaking the Kindle Fire into being a normal tablet, and just buy a regular android tablet.... but its usually a lot more pricey, and the quality of android tablets varies *wildly* so you would have to be more familiar with the specs you need.... you'll have to make sure it can display modern resolution (?) and has at least 2GB of RAM.

I am *not* good with tech stuff beyond anything that directly holds my hand so I have absolutely no clue how to pick out a different tablet, I just know the one I have (which is already a decade old before I even got it lol) is 2GB of RAM, 1920 x 1200 pixels, 32GB of base storage, and I can expand that further with a MicroSD card, and it uses a MicroUSB cord to charge, not type C, which is something to keep in mind if you don't have a microUSB charger on hand and you end up buying an older model!

Anyways, that is my random post about how to get into digital art and drawing tablets without shelling out $200+ on a specialty tablet, expensive paid program, super fancy stylus, etc.

As I said on my earlier post today the CTO of 8tracks answered some questions on the discord server of mixer.fm

IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN INFORMATION ABOUT 8TRACKS AND THE ANSWERS THE CTO OF 8TRACKS GAVE, PLEASE, KEEP READING THIS POST BECAUSE IT'S A LOT BUT YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Okay, so he first talked about how they were involved in buying 8tracks, then how everything failed because of money and issues with the plataform then he talked about this new app called MixerFM they developed that works with web3 (8tracks is a web2 product), that if they get to launch it they'll get to launch 8tracks too because both apps will work with the same data.

Here is what they have already done in his own words:

*Built a multitenant backend system that supports both MIXER and 8tracks

*Fully rebuilt the 8tracks web app

*Fixed almost all legacy issues

*Developed iOS and Android apps for MIXER

What is next?

They need to migrate the 8tracks database from the old servers to the new environment. That final step costs about $50,000 and on his own words "I am personally committed to securing the funds to make it happen. If we pull this off since there is a time limit , we will have an chance to launch both 8tracks and MIXER. … so for all you community members that are pinging me to provide more details on X and here on discord, here it is"

Thank you for the tag @oonajaeadira! Funny enough I saw this go around a couple months ago and meant to do it, then life got crazy. This seems like a great time to jump on in!

How many works do you have on ao3?

48! Wowza! That's not counting fics I only post here (like my Writers Iron Chefs and the Bangathon)

2. What's your total ao3 word count?

338,089. That's kind of crazy, I'm not gonna lie. And some of those words aren't filthy :P

3. What fandoms do you write for?

The Pedro Pascal Cinematic Universe!

4. Top 5 fics by kudos

Something New, One Very Good Night, Both Sides of the Door, A Sweet Response to Tragedy, and Good Company. 4 out of 5 of these are from I Think of You, which does warm my little heart. I did laugh that their popularity is completely out of order from the series.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Yes yes yes! Every single one I get! I'll even yank your tags out and comment on them when they make me especially happy. It's the best part of sharing my stories.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

TECHNICALLY One Very Good Night had the angstiest ending before I continued the series. Same with Cognitive Dissonance! Apparently I get to an angsty end then just write a part 2.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think that's tied with the real ending to my Whiskey & Westworld series, and all the gooey soft fun of my Javi G series. Both make my heart glow in different ways.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Knock on wood, nothing so far. I've gotten a couple of interpretations of my fics that have made me cock my head because I just don't think the person read the story, or if they did they skimmed over the character development part. But otherwise I've had a very nice time with everyone here <3

9. Do you write smut?

If you don't know by now, I'm not sure what you've been reading...

10. Craziest crossover?

100% Whiskey & Westworld. Golden Circle meets android theme park? Lusting over cowboys and having existential crises? It fit better than I ever thought it would and I still love the crap out of it.

(though as a side note, having Javi P be the person who helped Santi find his girls in the SW!Frankie AU is another fav)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I hope not? Yeesh.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but that would be pretty neat!

13. Have you co-written a fic before?

No, but I have had the distinct pleasure of @psychedelic-ink writing a fic in the SW!Frankie AU that made my whole life.

14. All time favorite ship?

HELP I'M TORN. It's a tie between Din and my Reader in I Think of You and Dieter and Murch in Best Laid Plans. I think about both of them so so so much.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will

I have a handful of small WIPs in a folder that who knows if they'll come to fruition. I think the greatest contender is probably the Post-Apocalyptic Frankie I tossed around because The Last of Us came out and it might just meld into a Joel story instead.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'm good at pacing and giving enough description to keep a reader engaged but not bogged down with details. People connect with my reader characters in a way that makes me super happy. And I write damn good smut.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I can't write outlines or my brain says "it's done :)" and I never write the story. I can't write out of order. I struggle with making characters have meaningful fights and arguments because I'm non-confrontational IRL and it makes me anxious.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language

Flavor! I love reading it! I tend to shy away from writing it because as someone who knows another language, it never feels natural to me to throw it in. Pet names are a nice way to use it, and I'll allude to speaking other languages in descriptions, but it's difficult so I tend to not add it much in my stories.

19. First fandom you wrote for

Gundam Wing when I was about eight or nine. Part of my username is in homage to that! My friends and I would write our fanfics and then read them all out loud at sleepovers together. Pre-internet, this was my Tumblr lol.

20. Favorite fic you've written

You know, I love all of my fics a whole damn lot, and my top ones are still hard favs. But I think for a story that came out of my heart in a really nice way and that I hold a little closer than the others, The Plan might just top them a tiny bit.
