Gods, it so weird just how different things are today from just twenty years ago. I'm currently in the watching big brother season four, which was filmed in 2003 and omg its crazy to me (someone born in the 2010s and having really only ever watched 2015 onward media or fairytale movies) just what is said on here. Like different times and stuff but whole shit man. Like the constant kind of microaggressions against Jee for being Asian, the consent tearing down of peoples looks/bodies, or the example that made me write this. In episode 12, about 34ish minutes into the episode Allison and Justin are talking about fellow houseguest Nathen and Allison just really randomly is like yea I think he is gay (He isn't, and is also like basically her showmance at this point, not that that makes it any better) and Justin like "Ugh, now how am I supposed to talk to him again knowing he is some fruitcake case" (pretty paraphrased but the point gets across) and it was just like... wow. Their is no way in hell that if someone said something like that on TV today, it would be just a 'little joke'. It really just, puts into prospective how different things are in such a short amount of time.
