Look up BTS Fake Love cover by Lies Behind Your Eyes!!! They're a metal cover band and I loved this!
DAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN!!!!
I am thoroughly impressed.
I guess my OC Iota/Blackstorm could be compared to Tarn? But while Tarn goes to put the cause above Megatron, Blackstorm has it the other way around. He will do literally anything for Megatron and follow him anywhere no matter what.
In IDW1 Blackstorm joins the Autobots with Megatron and boards the Lost Light, but only because he can't let his leader walk into enemy clutches alone. Especially when he finds out Chromedome was a mnemosurgeon. Not sure if he'd survive to the end of canon...
Earthspark Blackstorm also follows Megatron into G.H.O.S.T for similiar reasons, even if he's apprehensive about turning against the cause. Because Megatron is more important. Then he propably fights Soundwave, because since Blackstorm is a spy and an assassin Soundwave was propably his boss.
Extreme loyalty is really one of Blackstorm's defining traits. Whether or not Megatron gives any shits about him varies by continuity.

i was thinking about how hawks might’ve kicked off his career so quickly and some things i’m pretty sure on are
he started doing an internship as soon as he got his provisional license, likely with a top ten hero, and kept up that internship until he graduated. might have worked as a sidekick for that top 10 before making it on his own.
i want to say that something BIG happened during his internship to put him in the spotlight. maybe a big operation, a big case that was solved, or something hawks managed to do on his own as an intern/sidekick that got him the attention needed to break off on his own.
Spent the past hour perusing old writing, sifting through past lives for a peek at this summer or that summer’s end (because, in truth, it’s all a matter of where we’re positioned relative to the sun and how much you have to squint, and my particular appreciation for the smell and taste of sweat tends to permeate memories until they’re a hazy heat shimmer, bare feet burning on asphalt or the dying light of a June evening).
I’m mostly glad that I’ve trashed almost all of my old journals - they were full of a lot of negativity and self-loathing that was often harmful to return to - but it can be helpful to see what has changed in the past half decade and what hasn’t and to be reminded how cyclical many things are. The view shifts enough that sometimes it can be jarring to realize we’re still stuck on the same damn Ferris wheel, sticky from the same cotton candy and stinging from the same sunburn; having the same little revelations only to promptly make the same mistakes, just in different flavours. Reflect and go on enjoying the ride.
